If you watched Ghost Adventures or any of the other ghost hunting shows, when the ghost talk it is very hard to make out what their saying, and you would probably hear those types of sounds. Also, sorry if my grammar is bad.

This opening got an award or at least a nominee I know. I like that they've changed it so that at the end of the credits now, it's a more updated version of Jennifer Love Hewitt than from Season One which this clearly is.

It's not midi.... it's virtual instruments, but it's sample based, it was probably made using midi, but you're crazy if you think those are midi instruments... midi sounds like shit.

i know what midi sounds like i'm a yung composer! his co-worker explained it to me on the phone! he recorded it as midi then put i through a processor which instruments were sampled different than midi and turned it into a music file compatible for the show!

Pure ignorance. For starters your comment is nonsensical - midi doesn't 'sound' anything. It is a language used to communicate with hardware and software musical devices. Secondly, how can you be absolutely certain there's no FM or analogue sounds coming from a midi compatible device in this piece? I've composed for feature film, tv, games etc and can tell you; if you have good synths/modules etc, 'midi' can sound great and has it's uses.

I'm not ignorant. I know that midi is code and not audio. I meant that "general midi" sounds fake... like the little midi files your soundcard plays back sounding almost 8-bit. I didn't put down the MIDI language, but the little midi files that are used in side-scroller computer games and on geocities web-sites in the 90's. Also, I didn't say I didn't like this piece! I love it! I just don't think it's a midi file... I'm not denying they probably made it using MIDI software. Don't be so mean.

Then that's what you should have said - and you'd still be wrong. 'General Midi' doesn't "sound" anything. It is a "standardized specification for music synthesizers that respond to MIDI messages." (Wiki). And in case you want to then tell me that all GM instruments sound "like shit" then you'd do well to visit a quality music store and try out some of the top end synths/modules.
