  • I don't get this movie maybe there's no concept like the past ones....but still I liked it....shows that we can all just be random.....

  • WALK THAT WAY.

  • Paul was always out of step with the other Beatles,he's the only one with a black rose here,on let it be his pictures the only one in red,on Abbey road he's marching out of step etc LOL

  • what did john do at 0:15.

  • @MissDoggify6 stumbled.

  • This movie was shot in 1967. Most of us in The Colonies could not see it, as it was considered to be "in poor taste". That seems ludicrous now, but it was not thought so in 1967, even though that wonderful year was also thought of as the year that the establishment began to give way. This is a paradox that still is misunderstood.

You had to be there, and I am lucky that I was.

  • this movie could have been beter but it was as good as the first two which were HELP and Hard Days Night. But I hate Let It Be movie but i like the song

  • this movie could have been beter but it was as good as the first two which were HELP and Hard Days Night.

  • why is pauls flower black and not red like the rest of them?

  • I love their suits! :)

  • Director of Photography: Richard Starkery M.B.E Very nice, Mr. Starkey. XD

  • John Lennon looks hot p.s I LOVE HIM

  • @talibear00 paul is hot

  • @talibear00 paul is hot wat r u talkin about ?

  • This movie would have probably sucked if the beatlles weren't in it. But its awesome.

  • la scena + bella di tutto il film! Bello il balletto, bella la canzone, belli loro 4 vestiti tutti di bianco! <3

  • Your Mother Should Know rules! + the Bs in white = pretty pretty pretty

  • =( no! It has ended! Why! it seeemed to have no end, goin on and on =(

  • anybody notice john almost fell at around 0:14

  • I wish this movie were longer. ):

  • good movie. i love it. let all get up and dance to a song that was a hit before your mother was born

  • the walrus was paul! LOL

  • WTF????? 2:25

  • THERE JUST LIKE LITTLE PENGUINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this movie is great beacuse its don't perfect but so crazy...and the songs are BEAUTIFUL

  • @ballaesmeralda yeah amazingly crazy! where is the bus?

  • It's funny how terrible this movie did (it really needed to be shown in color!), however it's now adored! It's one of my favorites...very ahead of it's time.

  • Good movie =) Though it was really strange...

  • They are sexy in their white suits

  • 1:04 are they flipping us off? cause thats o.k.. :D

  • I could listen to the intro of this song all day. :)

  • The whle point of the Magical Mystery is its not supposed ot make sense or have meaning cuz too may people tried to interpret every Beatles song and give it meaning when it was jsut music.. so Lennon started it with I am the Walrus- he wrote it cuz his old English teacher made students interpret John's songs so he made it not make sense

  • it was a very fun hilarious movies...by THE BEATLES

PS paul and george are hot

  • I simply think that this movie is ingenious..I enjoyed, had fun,and listened the best music in the world.

  • Weird, wonderful, funny and charming John Lennon :)

  • this movie is classic british humor! no reasoning or sense is what makes it so funny! now all i need to see is let it be!

  • 0:14 ...John lost his balance lol

  • I think by midway-through this song, Paul, John, George and Ringo had given up any real seriousness...not that this movie had any in the first place. You can kind of tell when Paul's dancing all out of choreography that he had given up. XD

  • @xemily91 LOL totally... and at 2:32 John just leaned on him and threw the whole thin off XD

  • noma que pedaso de mierda dice que las peliculas eran malas

lo malo aora es el regueton y las peliculas gringas que ya se les acabron las idas ¡vivan los beatles¡

  • Whoa! this movie had no story. Not better than A Hard Days Night or Help! but still awesome scenes and awesome people! Loving it <3

  • haha john is funny :)

  • lol this movie didn't make ANY sence and poor George he hardly said anything

  • @AnElephantsChild

It was first shown on BBC1 on Boxing Day 1967

I was 7 at the time and missed it too. But I've got a copy of it now tho and watch it at least a couple of times a year.

Think I'll watch it on Boxing Day 2010 .. (with a crate of Guinness) ... 43 years late. ;-))

  • This was the big show-case BBC programme, on Christmas Day '68 or '69.

I missed it & it was supposed to be repeated the next day but the BBC got so many complaints that it never got shown again.

I've waited all this time to see it.

    .

It was .....well ....... a little... bit .......naff ............sorry.

It is a PERFECT snapshot of late 60s Britain though - like I said - a little bit naff !

    .

    Thank you xx

  • @AnElephantsChild

He, he, he ... yeah, it's really, really "naff" and low-budget ... but great fun to watch and "listen" to ... it's The Beatles after all :-))

PS: Talking of low-budget. I heard a rumour that the wages-bill for the cast and crew was ... a truck load of fish and chips and 22 crates of Guinness...

...and 100 gallons of diesel for the bus ... doesn't seem like much, but maybe that was a lot back in the 60s ... LOL

  • this part is adorable. Your Mother Should Know is one of my favorite songs the Beatles are my favorite band everrr<3 their movies are hilarious i love 'A Hard Days Night' 'Help!' anddddd 'Magical Mystery Tour' in that order. the Beatles are amazing nufff said :)
  • paul died after 1985's "spies like us" video.dan ackroyd has secret journals of it.the reason for the forebearing black rose he is wearing on his lapel! this movie has the greatest soundtrack ever except "xanadu" by olivia -newton john and elo!

  • paul died after 1985's "spies like us" video.dan ackroyd has secret journals of it.the reason for the forebearing black rose he is wearing on his lapel! this movie has the greatest soundtrack ever except "xanadu" by olivia -newton john and elo!

  • awesome movie! i wonder why george was rarely in the movie! seriously, he had like 2 lines and a song!

  • I love the part where John just falls onto Paul at the end of "Your Mother should Know" xD

  • ya se como va a ser mi vals

    :D

  • What's with the military women?

  • everytime I walk downstairs I try my best to imitate them.XD and thats also how my friend broke her foot!!! XD

  • Guess you could say your friend had a Magical Mystery "Trip" then ... *wink* :-))

I hated this movie when I first saw it. I was expecting another Hard Day's Night or another Help!

But now I totally love it. Just so madcap and so typically British too. I remember as a kid (back in the 60s) going on MMTs with my parents and kid brother ... those days out were just like this.

Well, except for the stripper. Oh, and the Beatles were never on my bus. Drat :-))

  • are they any bouns feautures on they dvd like penny lane hello goodbye and all u need is love

  • At the time Paul said this movie was a fail but now days Paul said it wasn't even that bad which it wasn't and he had lots of fun making it.

  • any reason why paul is wearing a black rose and the rest are red :P

  • any reason why pauls wearing a black rose and the rest are red :P

  • The Beatles even admitted that this was an epic fail

  • As crazy and strange and pointless as this movie was, you have to all admit you would totally take the tour had it really been offered. XD

  • This movie was really pointless but I have to admit I liked it.

  • Personally, I wish that they had been able to do Hard Day's Night in color rather than this. I kinda liked the other two movies better, (sorry Beatles)

  • Love that song too! Thanks for directing me...haven't heard that one in a few...............

    months ;)

  • This was a GREAT movie!!!!!!!!!! I absollutely love Your Mother should know!!!!!!!!!

  • haha they were doing the carlton dance!

  • 2:28 John LOL!!!

  • This moive was the stuff

I wached the whole movie it was great

  • i remember looking at the pages in the lp i would like to see that again

  • Well I liked it.

  • Well, I've watched all the parts of this movie now, and all I can say is : AWESOME!!! But, hey, thats just my opinion. I consider anything with the Beatles in it awesome. Thank you to Danousek9 for taking the time to post the whole movie on Youtube.

  • on a scale of 1 to 100 this movie like my grade in art is a c+

  • WTHECK was p with that last part same on you george and john ;P

  • Missing strawberry fields and hello goodbye

  • I don't get it -.-

  • trippiest thing i've ever seen... confused as hell but i love it. george was pretty silent the entire movie, wasn't he?

  • well he was called the "quiet beatle"

  • 'deed he was, though i don't really think he was all that quiet :)

  • i don't they showed the whole thing!!!! they skipped [parts!!!!

  • It's all hard to take in after watching it in one go man...

Still, Paul sure was hot ; D

  • aww thats it!!!:( i kinda didn't like but i love it (cause of The Beatles) :D

  • My head is now spinning after watching it all in one go. I think i'll go listen to the beatles in bed now bye bye...

  • This is so weird, they were on LSD when they made this XP

  • so much has been left on, but that's cuz it's youtube and youtube is a poop and doesn't let you post a lot

  • People say this movie sucks. I dont think so, it may not make sense but its still great and funny!

  • I love the beatles!!! weird movie, but strangely enough...i love it!!!!!!!!

  • trippy as fuck.. great movie and great album

  • the beatles can make anything awsome.

although the movie was just, so, whoah..

.. im glad i've seen their crazyness.

way to go the beatles! (:

  • God this movie was weird but, it was good! now i know why famous directors were inspierd by this movie! Though, i think kids craped their pants at the I Am The Walrus part. And Paul is NOT dead!

  • @chaoinspace2 it ws good?????? no way the part with the geneal made no sense

  • What the hell was that?

    Weirdly compelling.

    But?

  • Awesomeness has been achieved. :O

  • cool

  • if you look carefully on the film you can see paul's brother michael and magic alex.

  • Michael McCartney is nice-looking, but you can tell which of the McCartney brothers won the DNA lottery for astonishing beauty.

  • ahh paul paul paul blah blah blah

  • choreography was so much easier back then.

  • Goo-goo-gajoob!

  • dam that looks like fun:)

  • paul so hot

  • My god! Paul looks so sexy when he is dancing <3

  • lol i love this part

  • wow short movie!

  • if im not wrong it ended when lennon threw the script out of a bus window because people were always following them

  • This Movie Is Werid but i like it it was funny.

  • 1967. the best moment.

  • The fact that this movie doesn't have a cohesive plot...doesn't matter to me in even the slightest iota, because he Beatles and their friends obviously were having a blast making Magical Mystery Tour.

  • My mother did know a lot of songs, especially some of those that were hits before she was born. But now..."My mummy's dead"."Momma, don't go".

  • every school girls dream... a beatle in white

  • Paul is sooooo cute in this scene!!!! and i love how Ringo is always a step behind everyone else haha i love The Beatles and all their films!

  • What a great film. A wonderful phenomenal movie, My personal favourite movie of theirs is still A Hard Day's Night and then probably Help! but AHDN is still the best.

    Peace and Love

  • what a stupid movie lol. as much as i love the Beatles (and believe me, i LOVE them) this movie was so dumb hahaha. dumb...but amazing(:

  • "paul is a dead man miss him miss him miss him miss him"

  • omfg this movie, this ending, blew my mind.

  • Aaaawh! They look really cute in those white suits!

  • words that describe this movie: special, unique, cute, and WONDERFUL!!!!

  • So THIS is what an acid trip feels like!

..and at some strange level, I enjoyed it.

  • :-o paul's rose turn black !

  • He he he... this song was actually a hit before my Mom was born in 69.

  • Could this be the song that coined the term "Your mom?"

    OOOOOHOHOHOHO.

This movie is so great, but you have to be smoking something to get the full effect.

  • nah, i just tried it on pot and it wasn't the same.

  • I popped a couple pills and watched it, fell asleep, then rewatched it. Hahaha..... so much more sense when your high off your ass....

  • Three letters describe this movie: WTF??????

    I still enjoyed it though.

  • hit some acid and this movie makes complete sense.

  • and three words describe your comment: you are crazy...the pauls rose is black because hes write this movie..

  • PAUL IS NOT DEAD!!

  • After that, Paul had no choice to look at his self into the mirror...

  • i didnt know ringo was the director of photography- 3:50

  • This song was made before my mother was born...

  • where di you think they got the idea?

  • monty python meets art flic.

  • bin der got da tshurtt

  • its trippy loopy loopy loopy loopy loopy loopy

  • great movie.. crazy, but that'S what made this movie so genius :D

  • Thanks for posting! Pretty enjoyable film.

  • I watched this for the first time 14 years ago and hated it. But now, with age and a love of the artistic on my side, I thought that was absolutely marvelous. You can imagine Lindsay Anderson watching and taking notes. Thanks for sharing!

  • makes you proud to be british dosnt it lol

  • I know that this gets criticism, but I am glad that Paul did it. It is better than not seeing them. It is funny, weird, crazy, entertaining and full of good songs. John, George and Ringo are all enjoying themselves, and it is a film that inspired many European and U.S art films. It adds another genre to their collection, and gives an interesting follow up to Help! The only fault was that it was released at Christmas, not in the summer time. It's about time that Paul was given credit. RIP G+J

  • thanks for posting!! :D

  • well actully i heard that he was the one who made it so yeah

  • Paul is wearing a black carnation because they ran out of red ones. That is all there is to it. Paul is alive. End of story.

  • There is no such thing as a black carnation. It's a red carnation spray painted black.

  • ran out of red carnations? Yeah im really sure that they would go to all the trouble to make a movie, and just happen to "run out" in the final scene of the movie. And if they ran out that would mean they had extra black ones? what were the rest of the black ones used for?

  • I read it in a book. That's what Paul said - I'm just quoting him. Despite the Beatles wealth, they made their films on fairly low budgets. It might have been the local florist who had run out of red ones, I'm not sure.

  • hey that was john at the end right ? or paul ... pretty sure its john just write back ... thanks

  • John is the narrator.

  • Paul is a dean man...miss him. miss him.. miss him

  • Paul with his black rose...

  • The documentary The Compleat Beatles (narrated by Malcolm McDowell) gave this description: "Largely a project of Paul's, the idea was to travel the English countryside in a bus filled with friends, actors and circus freaks, and to film whatever happened. Unfortunately, nothing did."

  • this was by far the weirdest thing the Beatles have done.

i didn't understand the whole movie.

anyways it was fun and colorful

    I LOVED IT.

  • god i wonder how paul got them to wear those outfits

  • I wonder how Paul got them to do this whole thing...

  • lol

  • If Brian Epstein had already died at this point, then Paul got them to do it because he pretty much had the other three whipped by that point.

  • i thought it was john n george who had the acid problem i know paul was reluctant to do it but evebtually did and ringo did anything as did george he had a weed problem lol

  • Cool what did I win?

  • The credits should have said "Made In England by The Beatles On Acid. LOL.

  • Actually, only John and Ringo had the Acid problem. They all did it once or twice but they dropped it many more times than Paul and George...they had more of the weed issue.

  • we have a winner!!!

  • I've been waiting close to 40 years to see this! God, I'm getting old! Thank you for posting!

  • dude, seriously, quit saying this. You say it on every part. It's not supposed to be a GOOD movie. It's supposed to be fun and random. jeez....

  • Dude what do you know, you probably weren't born when this came out. It was the first Beatle project after their Brian manager Brian Epstein died. It was largely Paul's idea. it was shown on British Television & panned by the critics.

Paul McCartney ouote regarding MMT "We don't say it was a good film. It was our first attempt. If we goofed, then we goofed. It was a challenge and it didn't come off. We'll know better next time." Jeez dude seriously like find a real problem to bitch about.

  • Well, there you go. Thanks for quoting Paul's "We don't say it was a good film" line. And it wasn't. It was just real goofy and fun. And they looked like they had fun doing it anyway, so all was well. :)

  • Thanks for posting this.

Wow this movie is possibly the most confusing thing on the planet...in all times, generations and dimentions....

  • What a great movie

    thx 4 posting
