Because English is the International Language. The rest of the world I'm sure would love to learn more on the French history, otherwise the story of the French revolution would only be popular in France. If you were intrigued by another country's history but could not understand their language, you would also appreciate a translation no?

It's absurd discussing about France history if the people of France themselves doesn't have a SAY and I readcomment saying in english please. Just like I don't expect a french to remark 'En francais s'il vous plait'. The accurate resources on histoire francaise are in french. In english it's just anything. What you could do is ask for a translation please, you'llget a transcript.
