@pippigirl Dolly outshines everyone she sings with. Bill is no exception. I think he holds his own pretty well and blends with her very nicely. I just recently discovered Bill Phillips, though I've heard this song done by others. This version is by far the best one. It's a shame he didn't get more songs as strong as this one to record.
slight correction: april 2nd is the date the recording made it's debut on the country chart..not the date it peaked.... we still love your channel my friend....and we're all human in case you take this personally....u shouldn't......ty
NcicHit Could you look through your Bill Phillips albumns and see if you have his recording of "Stepping Out" , If you have it ,Could you please post it . Thank you in advance . Jerryg65
This is a great song. Loved it the first time I heard it on The Wilburn Bros. Show. I didn't know Dolly co wrote it till today.
Dolly did a song on the Porter Wagoner Show called: Gypsy, Joe, & Me. Just her & a guitar. If someone has it I would love to see it posted. Thanks for the great music. I hope these videos never die!
Dolly is the BEST!! Such a great talent and lovely person.
