i have a few questions

1) PM is elected not selected.. so that way all PMs are bound to face the music.. solution here is to elect clean persons. therefore a pool of ppl will be available to select ppl from.

2) democracy does not mean all are happy. in a pluralised society this aint possible. so officers will be prosecuted by the unsatisfied lot. EG. a DM working for suppressed class is framed/punished on the basis of complaints of majority.

3)further: what is the cost of fighting the cases.

"On Paper every team appears to be strong, the real Test is on the battle field"!! Similarly the draft of Jan Lokpal Bill Appears to be good, but the real test will be checked when implemented. I feel that Lokpal initially should have scope on the bureaucrats, govt. officials, etc. and a minimum time period of five years should be provided to gauge its effectiveness and flaws. If found good & efficient, increase its ambit to the judiciary, minister & then to the PM, or else scrap it Like TADA.

Fantastic initiative - I suggest that it be made mandatory that complaints start to be filed even before it becomes a bill and publicize it - it might help to prevent corruption immediately - it might scare officials to work efficiently in the hope that their past may catch up with their present and they would have no where to escape - Prevention is better than cure. Let the law takes it course-start making it public for complaints against corrupt officials
