Just because Snow Patrol has a different type of artistry that U2 does not make them "depressing" or "goody two shoes". I really like what they did, its different, but they stayed true to themselves and that's something to be proud of.

They really tried something different with the song, but the original and the melody are so ENERGETIC that's it's just too hard a transition to make. Some songs can be interpreted like this, this one can't.

this is exactly why i hate this band. They are so depressing. They are such goody 2 shoes and have no edge what so ever. the naghties has braught us such a bunch of lame ass bands unlike the 90's which was a classic period for rock, metal dance indie etc.

I love all music...Respect all artists...But I was there on the 14th August 1993 Leeds Roundhay Prak...80,000 people...Lights...amazing bass that rattled the rib cage...Bono ten feet away reaching out to the belly dancer who wouldnt give it up. ....Larry banging the drums after Edge's amazing solo....doesnt quire compare really.

What was wrong with rock in the 70's was that it was too moody, negative, and dark. Then came U2. This whole exercise with AB proves that no one can perform with the spark of life/love/hope that permeats their catalog. ('cept maybe Jack White and Lacey Mosley)

This song is good any way you mangle it, and Snow Patrol did a good remix of it. They are a great band and i have nothing against them. I'll admit that it is a little slow for my taste, but that doesn't change the fact that it is a good mix. I don't criticize it.

I love Snow Patrol, but the song is too slow a tempo for me. The song's real charm is the bounce and the manic energy restrained by the taut riffs, as though the passion is about to explode out.

It's alright. Maybe not the best cover. But don't try to compare it with the original, this is a whole new song based on Mysterious Ways. Different doesn't make it bad, just strange. Give it another chance, it will grow on you.
