  • YES NEIL IS FOREVER !!!! Love from France !!

  • Neil Still ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Neil Diamond at Age 70 , Just This Past January 25th , was born 1941 , BROOKLYN , N.Y, " HE STILL RICKS ! ! ' "

  • I like how he depends on the audience to supply backup vocals.

  • Soundin and lookin good Neil!

  • He did not play the guitar on the original Trade Martin did. The time of Cherry Cherry Trade was a session player on most of the hits at that time. Trade has a youtube page where in his Martin Guitar interview he mentions he uses his Martin on Cherry Cherry

  • @ABGino no one gives a fuck about trade martin--quit spamming the videos loser.

  • OOOOO, was freue mich auf das Konzert am 20.Juni in Oberhausen!

Einer besten Songschreiber und Livesänger überhaupt.Er ist nun 70Jahre alt und einsamme Spitze

  • What a voice... still

  • Raspberry Raspberry to the 5 dislikes

  • Just brilliant what else is there to say - Neil you're wonderful xxx

  • diese Stimme ist der Wahnsinn

  • Just to to even DREAM of being there...PUT ME ON CLOUD NINE!!!! DAMN lucky audience!!! WOW!! *bom bom* LOL

  • He can still move beautifully! Must be nice seeing him perform in a small venue like this!

  • Wait a minute.... Neil's got more hair than when he was young.

  • this is so awsome.... I wish I grew up in the 60's....... This stuff brings the biggest smile on my face!!!!

  • Congratulations to the 70th birthday, Mr. Neil Diamond, and congratulation to the appointment in the Rock'n'Roll hound of fame from Germany.

  • Will Ferrel

  • I've been around in my 54 years, but I've never seen a dude who looks so cool with a guitar in his hands as this guy.

  • Classic Stuffen

  • @ivanzuc

There is always one isn't there, someone who has to find fault in anything and everything, Neil Diamond is a legend, this was an acoustic set in a small club, this was the club where neil started, he performed this gig for free, when you achieve anything remotely close to what Neil Diamond has, then you may be entitled to criticise, why not just listen and enjoy it for what it is and the sentiment behind why he returned here, the crowd love him for his talent and how humble he is.

  • @morningsideish I give you a "high five" on that! :~)

  • Comment removed

  • It`s a crime that this guy isn`t in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!!

  • Big big chance for this people earing singing Neil Diamond in a little night club. I would like the same

  • What a happy song..., love it!

  • I wrote a strong e-mail to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame about Neil Diamond several months ago and I am very pleased to hear he is going in!!

  • @TheSactownguy he is nominated-- not in just yetm but if their is brain flow it should take about 5 minutes to get him in.

  • I Love this one :-)

  • Who directed this? Adam West? I'm waiting for the riddler to bust in with some bongos.

  • 69 and still showing the young 'uns how it 's really done :-) Go Neil......been with you since the 70's. Love your music and cannot thank you enough.

  • Wow. He is still the man. Rock on Neil. =)

  • LOL this song just wouldn't sound the same without Neil doing the occasional "bark" between verses and then smirking to himself.

  • my dad just told me about thgis song and i want to make a cover on my band of it is cool! i need the Lyrics if u have them plz send me them :D

  • @TheLyricsRox just google it neil diamond cherry cherry--PS he has a lot of cool songs to cover!

  • its there 2008 and now we have 2010...I bet he is still rollin.....go Dimond go

  • That's a cool mother fucker!

  • @ScottMasson Indeed, he is a cool mofo--only a few can do it for 40 yrs plus and still bring it!!! and then do for his fans like neil does.

  • @jabb69 Hey Bro you so absolutely right (pardon my audacity for calling you BRO )

  • Wow! This is pretty awesome...did he sing anything else at this show?

  • @Cainefan yeah he did 5 oldies incl kentucky woman, solitary man, sweet caroline and two new songs from his album- he is one cool dude- free show

  • To think this is where it all began. Yep chills run thru us, that brick wall is still there, it must have been really mind blowing going back there, he met the manager who gave him his first gig there to, that was really moving, I saw that on a clip from some usa programme, Neil was taken aback to how the place hadn't changed, there were queues outside to get in to this gig, but only a few got in, how lucky were they and us to be able to view it here.. thanks for downloading

  • Whoa

  • Isn't he just awesome. A chill runs right thru me : )

    We love you Neil! xxx

Music is the one thing that brings us all together...

  • Even the wall in backround its still the same after he s perfomance att 1967 ! And we who love hem, still standing and support hem like a wall ! Paris fr athens Greece.

  • Jewish Elvis FTW.

  • Interestingly, Elvis had Jewish kinfolks on his mother's side, along with a Native American heritage. Check it out.

  • I unexpectedly caught that network special over the summer and now I"m a fan. He's a real performer! And true to his fans, even refunding money after a performance where he was sick several years ago. Who does that? Neil Diamond, that's who.

  • diamond is forever!

  • Kentucky Woman! (Glad to have her here.)

  • this is simply a great song, put you in a good mood no matter what

  • Keep on rockin' Neil, one of the most talented singer/songwriters ever, even after 40+ years can still bring down the house whether it's a small club like the Bitter End or at the Garden!

  • Amen to that!

  • Hey was that Reinie Press on bass?

  • yep- the guy with the smile on his face 24/7

  • Oooooh, Still Got IT!

    Go Neil!

    Love you, Jeanne & David

  • That 1966 Gem of the Dodge Dart Era - I still love it! Neil Diamond is truly a genius. I've seen Neil twice and he puts on an INCREDIBLE show! You never want it to end! Keep rockin'!

  • I saw him a few nights later at the garden.. and talked to the guys who run the Bitter end.. it sounded like such a sick gig!!! he is the man!!!

  • This looks like fun. He's jammin' with the audience.

  • Yep...... he's still got it hasn't he.Just brill.

  • Why can't you guys just enjoy Neil without bashing everybody else? You not only age yourself but you come across as bitter losers...there's enough music out there for all of us to enjoy...Great song!

  • 30 years in the MOR wilderness thanks to CBS/Sony - the king of Schlock dressed in sequins. But when Neil Diamond picks up his guitar, wears a leather jacket and belts out some of the greatest songs of the 60s (and early 70s) he is light years ahead of most of his contemporaries. A Schlockmeister and one of the greatest singer-songwriter of his generation all in one artist. Jekyll & Hide. Will the real Neil Diamond please stand up? God bless you Rick Rubin. You cracked it.

  • this guy plays "real"music, today its just SHIT!!! people like jonans brothers are what you call posers kids who get everything they want and never have to work for anything. They will never even come close to being as big as these guys. they lack the ability to "move" the crowd like Neil Diamond.

  • Neil is great, and yeah the Jonas Brothers are bad, but you don't have to try and look all "cool and nonconformist" by saying "All music today sucks!" That's just ignorance. The Jonas Brothers just happen to be the worst of today's music and some of today's more popular music, but there's great music still being made. Idk if you're into this kind of music, but thre's Sonata Arctica, Steve Vai, Paul Gilbert, Galneryus and lots ofother great music being made today.

  • Neil makes all of these so called pop artists (Ahem Jonas brothers) look like ameturs. Neil rocks!

  • Neil Diamond has still got it and he looks pretty damn good for his age. (He turns 68 this year)

  • Did he do the same set list from his first concert there?

  • Say what you want about Neil Diamond. Cherry Cherry is a rock classic. And this is wonderful.

    Great audience, too.

  • I don't think there's anything to say about him except how great he is.

  • Oh I agree Neil is a legend and Cherry Cherry is a classic. And I agree Gayle1, those jonas wannabees have nothing on Neil!

  • This is really great, thanks so much for posting this!!!

  • Senior citzens still rock!!! These people has staying power. Today's stars like the Jonas Brothers do not have nothing on this guy. And he been around for generations...

  • i think i'm in love.....

  • jesus i cannot wait till jan 4 to see him....it will be glorious

  • K so of all the guys his age in music,he still sounds good. The rest dont!!!!!!

  • damn right he does- it suprises me how good he sounds-his guitar sound and voice are fantastic- I saw bob dylan a yr ago at a fair 50 miles from here and there is no way to sugar coat it- he was garbage. The voice was tragically bad. Way to still rock neil!

  • fuckin fantastic

  • this is awesome

no way it sounds like it was written and recorded all them years ago

stripped down, its raw and its great

forget about all that studio bullshit. this is music.

  • these guys ripped this song off

    watch?v=Sihv_UfpnF4

  • Ripped it off? From whom? I'd be curious to know since this song was originally released in 1966 or 1967.

  • ohh haha nah dude i meant taht that link to the video taht i posted is of another band who ripped neil off. neil didn't rip no one off! lol at least i hope not. haha jk. just listen to that song and you'll notice right away dude.

here's the link again...paste it after youtube . com

    watch?v=Sihv_UfpnF4

  • Oooh, now I see what you're saying. Sorry, dude. My bad. Yeah, you're right about the other song. They had obviously heard this one before they wrote theirs.

  • I've been a Neil fan for over 3 decades. I'll just say this. In the 1990's Neil used to shout most of his songs which ruined it for me.

This last LP he released (oops showing my age, meant to say CD)was excellent and brought the 'original' Neil back on form.

Simon and Garfunkle went the same way. Late 70's and early 1980's, if they performed together, it might as well hve been Karoke it was so awful. Yet, their last tours together have been excellent and are as good as the early 1960's stuff.

  • There is nothing cooler than Neil Diamond musically stripped down. For too many years I wished he would have gone back to basics like this. I thought most of his music after the 70's was too over produced and not as pure as he was in the 60's and 70's. Way to get back to basics. Do it more! I would love to see a DVD in an intimate club setting like this.

  • He should dump the giant band, grab his guitar, and go out on the road for concerts like this one. His talent really shows through when he performs like THIS!

  • TOTALLY agree with you, missjudi1! I'd love to catch Neil at a small venue like this!

  • @missjudi1 ~ Just watched this video with Neil. He's such a great performer and I would love to see him go out on the road doing shows like this! He would pack em in!!!...and I would be one of the first in line!

  • He's THE MAN

  • such smooth music

  • Very cool, diamond looks cool in the jacket and jeans- got tired of that produced look. The man rides harleys across america, he got too cute with his music. I think most enjoy it pared down- guitar and his band- with his real appearance. He looks good, relaxed, fit, and his voice sounds as good as it has in 15-20 yrs. The young crowd loved it! So did I.

  • Will be seeing him in August 2008. It should be great!!! Neil is the man!!!

  • Wat moet ik hier nog op zeggen!!

  • OUCH..

  • Love this man and his music comes from the heart.

    Thank you acerb for sharing

    Love And Light

    Cheryl

  • the cat Rocks!! :)

  • so great!

  • Neil once again proves he is a performer for all ages. You gotta love the audience participation!

  • Awesome. Wish we could have been there. How does a die hard Neil Diamond fan get word of such events?

  • It was a myspace secret show. I guess you would have gotten a couple days notice of it if you had a myspace page and subscribed to Neil and/or had the secret show listed as a friend.

  • Thanks!
