@Goddaki Likely because a large portion of most hero stories is protecting the girl, or choosing between saving like 50 people, or the girl, or the girl getting killed... I'd say about half or more hero-related plot devices involve a female love interest, as most of the world doesn't get much out of watching the exact same plot with reversed gender roles. Just how it is, I'm afraid.
