Thanks for the advice. We do this drill both ways. We alternate sets between trying to stay as still as possible and doing it with the dynamic thrust motion. Our kettlebell instructor is RKC certified, so I think this drill is legit, however I'm not sure we are doing it 100% correct, because he is filming rather than giving pointers. Just some friendly advice ...In Girevoy (kettlebell) Sport we call this a "Figure-8" --You dont want to sway back and forth you want to keep your base of foundation as still as possible laterally -generating torgue through your hips and core. When you decide to graduate the weight of the bell -You'll find that a heavy bell will pull you off center if you are swaying.
