OMG!!!!!! Unbelievable! To see the score - the mad black sea of notes and even in the da capo Philippe adds more coloraturas than is written in score, it is unbelievable. With such ease. Again I stay with the big admiration to this singing. Thank you Jana, for sharing this unique music
Yes, the score looks very similar to Vivaldi, I think. And an different ornamentation in Da Capo with much more difficulties is a duty of honour for an true Primo Uomo! :-)
He is in a league of his own. I think he displays time after time what best can be achieved with his natural talent.
what always strikes me in his singing voice is how close it is to a spoken voice. Comparing to usual mezzo whereby they sound, to be crude, like "cows" that is with very emphasized low tone harmonics. And the soprano feel to his voice is not all... He is definitely something different from your usual opera singer. I'm not saying better, just unique.
Ohhhhh Dioooo!!!!!!! I can't return to earth...I'm carried high by this "furibondo vento"!!!! I didn´t write before because I also couldn't stop listening and watching!!!
Fantastic! Wonderful! Brilliant!!
Thank you for posting this. xx

An excellent interpretation of an excellent aria. Jaroussky takes his rage aria by the horns and dominates it throughout.
