If you mean by conversion the shift George made up one key, you are right... George could only do that solo, Lennon and McCartney would never have pulled such a cheap musical trick...In fact out of all the 200 plus songs they wrote none moves directly up one key...none!!!
Now nearly ever modern song does it.......sometimes twice in the same song.
