Thank you Bob! My puppy got into some food coloring and got it all over the carpet and herself. I needed to look this up fast because it was late and my mom would be really mad about the stain cause the puppy is causing enough trouble that we have to keep her in a kennel when we are out.
After using the stand up carpet cleaner tank for over an hour I decided to find a better way to get rid of my stains. If only I had done before, after tank, and and your method. Your method makes our carpet look brand new! I will never use the stand up tanks again for stains! Thank you!
Bob! Thanks so much for this video. It worked so well....I had a big redish-brown stuck in stain from our little precious kitty which sat while we were on vacation. I tried everything....and now using the directions in the video its GONE! Thank you again.
@HomeRemodelWorkshop The stain was from her throw up (ek!) she loves a kitty food thats colorful and sometimes she eats fast.....the stains are hard though b/c it mixes with her tummy acid. Soooo happy to have it gone. Thanks again!!
Outstanding video. You show what needs to be seen, and you give great benchmarks, "This is what you want to see." That's so essential to anyone following a new procedure for their first time. You not only know your stuff, but you communicate it very well. What a pleasure.
Well done video. Even though I am a professional carpet cleaner. And prefer to take the stains out of my customers carpet. This video is highly recommended due to the fact that this process is correct. Only difference is our cleaning solutions. And extraction unit.
All I can say is WOW! I had some old kitty vomit stains on a rug that I could not get out. I tried 3 different cleaners and essentially gave up until I couldn't stand to look at them any more. I did a google search and found this video. It worked so easily I couldn't believe it. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
i spilled coffe on my cream carpet, and guess what, i did none of what you said, jus put a towel down, and danced, whistling dixie, next thing i know, i fixed it....total noob!!!
Pro Spot stain remover is used by professional carpet steam cleaners and works great. Its great and doesnt need any extra tools. Its made by K&C Distribution out of Scappoose, Oregon and can be found online.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!! My three year old son took a dark blue crayon and drew ALL over the carpet in his room. The carpet is a very light tan. I followed all the steps and it worked within minutes!!! I had tried to remove the stain prior to trying this method and all the stain did was smear everywhere. Thank you again!!
amazing i just cleaned two fake tan staines out of a carpet i have been trying to clean it for a week. got rid of a few other staines two like girlfriends makeup etc. thanks alot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
carpetdyesticks work on both stains that are darker than the carpet color and those that are lighter like bleach and faded area. It is easier to build the color up from a lighter stain than a darker stain, you just have to remember that its not like a paint, you must work with the color of the stain to get back the carpet color. If your fans do carpet patch/repair with hot glue gun the iron steam w/ wet towels trick is great to loosen/seal the fibers/backing making the patch fit and look better.
Nylon carpets are dyed with hot acid dye, that's why the stomach acid from the vomit alters the color, All cat & dog foods have food dyes in them so the carpet gets redyed with the acid & food dye. Apply baking soda to neutralize the acid ASAP, then using wet vac, clean with cold solution first as to not set food dyes then repeat with hot cleaning solution. Any food dyes already set remove as video shows, If olefin carpet then the first 2 steps should remove stain. Olefin reacts badly to heat.
@carpetdyesticks Thank you for your insight, good knowledge to have.+++Bob P.S I checked out your videos as well, How often do people get bleach stains on their carpets or does your system work with any kind of stain that lightens carpet?
@carpetdyesticks I appreciate your info, however, The stomach acid and or whatever else was in the dog vomit did leave a mark on the carpet that was removed and did not damage the carpet the way I showed to do it. I have had the same results with non-berber carpet in my home. That being said, it is not the only way to clean carpet stains for the homeowner and we would appreciate any suggestions you could offer+++Bob
This worked very well on small stains. I then tried it on a high-traffic area (after much elbow grease) and it faded it but didn't come out altogether. But thx, this is still very helpful !!
umm well i just spilled brown soup.. and its on white carpet. Should i use ur tip to clean my white carpet? Please reply quick.. my parents are gonna kill me... :P
WHat if your carpet is oldish and its been used alot and something like that happens and it turns out that that part of the carpet is more clean then the hole floor what do u do?
folex is a carpet spotter it's been around since apx 1945 or so. you can find it at home depot or smart and final and sometimes target , and never in special.
cool i never tried a heat transfer without an oxidizer, cool tip, the only diference that i would do is rinse it out with a alkaline nutralizer using my truck mount, maybe it will work alot better if you use folex instead of dish washing soap less residue an acid rinse will make it dry alot faster, tip from a certified textile cleaner . good luck.
I bet you would have alot of tips to share,I know I would like to spruce up the furniture around my house. Thanks for the post,by the way what is folex?+++Bob
Great video Bob! Thanks for posting this...Not many willing to do videos of how to clean up dog vomit...and if they do they want to plug their own cleaning products.

Now that's cool, I'll have to give this a try. I absolutely hate our living room carpet as it gets stains just from you looking at it wrong. I love your videos, I've learned so much. Thanks!
Nevermind! I just saw the end of the video and you answered my question! Thanks!
