To start off, I'm a huge NIN fan. The first time I saw the cover, I thought, not bad. But, the more I listen, the more I realize LP can't hold a candle to NIN. First of all, NIN has way better drumming; the LP drummer is a little douche compared to what NIN brings to the table. Then, the guitar work on the original is unmatched by this cover. Finally, Trent is the fuckin man, and no one will ever come close.
@MrGiGGlez9713 I saw them last year and they are better than ever. They also appeal to more people and, therefore, can sell out stadiums easier. Chester can still perform all of the classics as well as the new ones, so don't complain about "new Linkin Park"... they still are and always will be Linkin Park.

They played too much lighter music off of MTM and ATBS and when they played their old stuff Chester's screams sounded horrible, when he even did scream. I saw them back at Projekt Relovution '09 and although they played too much MTM it was still great. By the way, "apealing to more people" is an fancy way of saying "selling out". They may be Linkin Park, but they are no longer good.

To start off, I'm a huge NIN fan. The first time I saw the cover, I thought, not bad. But, the more I listen, the more I realize LP can't hold a candle to NIN. First of all, NIN has way better drumming; the LP drummer is a little douche compared to what NIN brings to the table. Then, the guitar work on the original is unmatched by this cover. Finally, Trent is the fuckin man, and no one will ever come close.

@MrGiGGlez9713 I saw them last year and they are better than ever. They also appeal to more people and, therefore, can sell out stadiums easier. Chester can still perform all of the classics as well as the new ones, so don't complain about "new Linkin Park"... they still are and always will be Linkin Park.

@maffy715 Funny, I saw them last year too because of the benefit of the doubt and it was awful. They played too much lighter music off of MTM and ATBS and when they played their old stuff Chester's screams sounded horrible, when he even did scream. I saw them back at Projekt Relovution '09 and although they played too much MTM it was still great. By the way, "apealing to more people" is an fancy way of saying "selling out". They may be Linkin Park, but they are no longer good.

@MrGiGGlez9713 LOL, you missed out, cos ajority of the songs they played when I saw them last year were the older ones and MTM songs (like "What I've Done", "Shadow of the Day", No More Sorrow", Bleed It Out"... thing is, he screamed in all of them, even added screams to What I've Done and Shadow of the Day). The minority were ATS songs and the screams he did at the concert were better than ever. I lol'd when I heard you saw a shit show xD

@Fexxx92 I'm also an old LP fan. Linkin Park just changed to a genre that I already liked, so now I like most of their songs. I agree that they won't make new songs like their old ones, but there is screaming in every album they've released so far... As long as they never truly lose the heaviness that defined them. At least they'll never be as bad as Coldplay.
