Looks like a Force Dynamics to me. Brilliant way of simulating the "G" that a real driver feels, realistically it is very similar in operation to a 6DOF Flight Simulator. Just wis I had the Money and more importantly the room for such a unit :(

I think the idea behind the chair moving so extreme like that is to emulate the forces on the body when accelerating, decelerating and making turns by using gravity to provide the force.

No other simulator can do that by just sitting stationary or moving very little and using vibrations to provide feedback.

If the thing didn't move so dramatically you wouldn't feel nearly as simulated. Just shifting, to feel entirely, needs to involve something a bit violent or you feel like someone is just shaking your chair.

@HerrSchnellmann there is one that is made by a Thailand company, david coulthard tested it and loved it, this one moved max 100mm, but it was fast, and very strong, so you still get the effects, the only use for this simulator in the video would be for a plane or helicopter sim, no one who has driven a race car, would think this is cool, or reproducing the G forces, and anyway the most G that thing or any other sim could produce is 1 no matter how much stroke it has
