The pvp is good eye candy but.... worst balance ever.

all im saying is that if u start this game be rdy to grind for a long long time to get higher lvl and even when u r higher lvl be rdy for even more grinding to get geared.

P.S u will get 1 or 2 shotted a lot even if u are top lvl

Great review mate, but I thought that the Elyos and Asmodians weren't good and bad, they both hated each other (but they were both a good and bad, depending on which side you're on, just like WoW) but I thought the Balaur (I think that's the correct spelling and term) were the evil faction.

@mijrin911 My guild and I switched to Aion around the middle of wotlk and played for awhile, we all switched abck about two months later because once you hit around level 28 questing becomes almost non-existent and it becomes pretty much a grind to 50. If you have played other mmo's like EQ or rf online, and you don't mind the grind go for it, but if your like alot of other wow players and like fast leveling I wouldnt waste your money on Aion. There also down to I think 8 servers last I heard?

mmk so, I myself dont any similarities to WoW. But as a player that went from WoW to AION back to WoW, is there any reason to go back? The grind was horrible, and the flying combat was not well done... and the gold spammers were still there when I left -.- But having a lvl 36 gladiator thats just sitting around, I went back to WoW before the big patch and move to a differnet engine. Is it worth going back? WoW's still trying my patience.

Just so it is clear, in Aion there is no light or dark side. They are both good, however they blame each other for the catastrophe. If anything Asmodians are the good guys, but there are no good guys for the players, or bad guys. The bad guys are the monsters and the Balaur

Well atleast no more gold spam. I am level 40 and this game is fun as hell. Endgame is kinda lacking but it does seem to fun when your 100 Asmo's Fighting 100 Elyos or Baluar for a fortress. Also, Asmo and Elyos are all good. Asmo just never got the sun making them darkness. But the game has a amazing story :D

Aion is an outstanding MMORPG! Fantastic gameplay, huge world. I was apprehensive at first about trying out another new mmo, but this one proved to be up there with my favorite mmos in the past... WoW, LOTRO, and Diablo 2 were my favorites. What's even more exciting is the future of it, this game is already outstanding and theres even more to look forward to. I'm extremely pleased with this game.Make sure your computer is able to handle it, otherwise you're playing it with low settings and lag.

this game is far from "everything you've ever wanted in an MMO."

it starts off great and you think it's awesome hoping that things are a little different from other mmos but you soon realize that Aion is a grind, grind, grind, grind and a little more grind. Like Romagranada said, by 34/35 most players get sick of it.

The player econ is also incredibly annoying cuz anything worthwhile is just plain overpriced.

ofc it was. it was releazed with alot of bugs.but what game has not? i play aion now and i have played aoc in over a year and i loved the time i spent there. it has the best graphics ive seen in a MMO game and had a great community. they did make a good pvp system, and they fixed almoast all of the bugs. they added a antigank system. wow had ALOT of bugs when released but dint have any competition. I play aion now because i want to experience more games.

Awsome Game! It has Cutscenes/Epic Effects/Epic Graphics and PvP where you actually need skills! Its not Easy Mode as WOW, which is a good thing. abit more Hardcore then most. Very good mmo indeed, the best out there

This seems like a very good MMORPG, but it hardly has everything a MMORPG has to offer. I miss playerhouses, mix of skills (magery + swordsmanship,) ability to sell stuff via a rented vendor at you house-steps and the ability to tame creatures and make them your pets. They should combine Aion with sims 3 and Ultima online. That is a MMORPG with everything.

The Asmodians aren't bad and the Elyos aren't good. The darker skins on Asmodians comes from lack of sun and vice verca for Elyos, it's nothing to do with wether they are evil or not.

And btw, level up a little bit and you'll see this is a grind game so you should level up a little bit more before reviewing this :O

make it past 35 (at which point many are sick of the grinding) and then make a second review ;D

I canceled my subscription after a week of having it, and playing it on a morning-to-day basis. Apparently, when there is an economy, there is bot spamming to be had. Text streaming with spam at a constant rate.

Blocking messagers from a player sometimes did not work, so chat was useless.

The auction house/trading system wasn't all that lucrative as well. The item search system was very difficult to use and did not respond to querys such as the exact item name you were looking for.

Just adding a few more things to the list, and also, I must agree with you, it is a very good looking, what could be a solid game. I would've continued to play the game had it not been for the spamming and block bugs. Give Aion a year to get fixes in, if much hasn't changed, it'd be fair to rate it a 3/5 star game. There were bugs with the basic attack spell, and updating needed for missions, such as map indicators of where a mission needs to be completed or done.

Great review. Nicely formulated content, and great editing. Something you could work on is how you are using your voice. You dont seem very engaded, and your pronunciations is a bit unclear in some instances, which makes some of it a bit hard to follow. At least for someone who doesnt have English as the first language.
