  • I really want to thank you for uploading these. The Space Battleship Yamato is the only anime I never watched when I was kid.

  • Space Battleship Yamato. Spiting on the law of gravity, since 1974.

  • Big bad peoples attacked Yamato

  • playing Marco Polo with Gamilas is one thing but you'd have to be crazy to use THE SHIP YOU'RE ON as the decoy. that captain's got balls so big the third bridge is there to hold them, that's for certain.

  • I love how they flip the ship upside down and there's no scene of everyone falling towards the ceiling. That's artificial gravity for you, folks!

  • its always the exhaust port...

  • "Herr Kapitainleutnant, I recommend we go to snorkel depth to replenish our breathable air supply..."

"Captain, I just noticed, when we take off we'll have no guns that actually cover the lower hemisphere of our ship; we'll be more or less unable to shoot down anything that swarms us from below..."

  • I did not like that "dun-dun-dun-duuuun" added on the opening. The opening theme song is too awesome to have any piece cut off.

  • At 4:00 Kodei says "Thank You" in english. It's translated into japanese in the subtitles!

  • Interesting. I suppose after Japan was conquered by Americans, many English phrases like "Thank you" were picked up by the Japanese. But the Japanese word was given in the subtitles anyway to show it was NOT an original Japanese phrase that Kodei (Wildstar) used here.

  • LOL @ Mark1Hoe's comment. So true!

  • I believe that Kodei also begins to speak more English. perhaps the fandubbers couldnt find a good bit of footage there, and decided to use the Star Blazer dub for a moment

  • 2:22 I think you have already sunk the ship Kodai. :-) Shouldn't they have flooded the tanks...not blown them as well? Ah well, probably a translation issue.

  • @SurfingTX Viewers should understand Kodai meant "sink permanently, unable to survive."

  • i love this anime so much that i bought the exact replica of yamato 1/625 scale model from bandai and it cost a small fortune

  • @kentan2202 1/625? You mean the GX-57?

  • I. LOVE. THIS. SHOW.

  • I had been looking for this cartoon for so long... thanks very much, I remember the old times, the best of all, i get excited just like I was a kid...thanks

  • I soooooo agree!
