  • Why is this video showing up as PRIVATE now????

  • you can't even find it where i live!

  • EVERYONE CALL 1800-433-2652 the PEPSI THROWBACK HOTLINE AND TELL THEM TO KEEP PEPSI THROWBACK FOREVER!!!!!!!! I WANT EVERYONE IN THE USA TO CALL!!!!!!!!!!!

  • im drinking pepsi right now

  • I guess all marketing schemes can't be aimed at the youth but darn it I can't be thrown back with this! I'll go into unbirth if I do. How about some 90's throw back for us younger folk?

  • ive gone to all the stores and i never saw it on stock and i went like on april 30 so u people should sell for a more amount of time please because i want to try this really bad

  • RESOLUTION: CALL PEPSI CONSUMER RELATIONS/MARKETING AND TELL THEM TO KEEP THE PRODUCT! Tell them we want it with real sugar. Like the Mexicans and Jews have it (Mexican and Kosher Pepsi have real sugar!) Tell them KEEP THROWBACK! 800-433-2652. Paste this everywhere so that we can get the campaign started. I want WAVES of phone calls. Inundate them!

  • I grew up with the original formula with sugar before the corn syrup craze.

I loved it back then and I miss the old pepsi, keep pepsi throwbacks on the shelves.

  • If we're lucky they'll make pepsi throwback the regular pepsi, and then decades from now, they'll have a new version of Pepsi Throwback "made with High Fructose Corn Syrup!"

  • PEPSI TASTES LIKE POOPSI

  • wowo you are such a faggot

  • Keep both throwbacks.

  • Looks good, love the retro can design. Are we getting it in the UK?

  • I love throwback! It is the best soda ever!

  • pepsi throw back is better than the origanal pepsi. pepsi is the best drink ever.

  • Keep both Throwbacks around for good....this is the way it should taste!!!! THROWBACK ROCKS!!!

  • The commercial kicks ass and so does the drink.

  • One of the best commercials I've seen in a long time. Mainly because it has that Soul Train feel and pays homage to the 70's so creatively. I LOVE it!!!

  • pepsithrowback. blogspot. com

  • Information on where to find pepsi throwback and a form to help keep it alive.

  • Being a child of the late 70's and early 80's, throwback is exactly what the stuff tasted like back then. I don't know where all of these "tastes like diet" comments are coming from because that is simply not true. This was the true taste. Get rid of the HFCS. Yuck!

  • pepsi-cola throback tastes delicious. NEVER MAKE THIS LIMITED

  • PEPSI tastes like coke with salt in it!!

  • NO!

  • YES!

  • i finally found this drink yesterday at a walgreen's in my town...it was only 99 cents so i thought i'd get 2 bottles, and it taste's pretty good, too!! i'm sure i'll be buying more until they run out or stop delivering them...

  • Where can you find this at?? I cannot find it in any of my local stores.

  • finns den i sverige ???!!! :O

    ;D

  • is this 3d?

  • Very Delicious

  • I love it. It's what Pepsi should've always tasted.

  • The sugar isn't what makes it taste better, it's the old school cans.

  • ...Its the sugar.

  • Lame that Pepsi uses sugar now as a stunt, instead of a permanent return to an ingredient people prefer.

  • Pepsi You Wanna See A Pepsi Video

    Step This Way Search Pepsi

  • um.....yal all dumb

  • Why is it called Pepsi-Cola?

I am sorry for sounding like a complete dumbass, but I live in Norway.

  • Thats what it use to be called. ;)

  • Oh.. Ok thanks for reply

  • thats how its allways been called they just used the abreeviation for it

  • A&W FTW

  • sweet video but sweeter taste

  • that was lame dude...

  • I really wish they hadn't altered their logo to look so much like Obama's. it was a desparately obvious and cynically self-serving move. However, though I used to drink the cheaper knock-off brands of colas, this new PepsiPure (throwback means neanderthal to me) I will be a Pepsico customer even if it is more expensive. Thanks again, Pepsico!!

  • ????

    Where did that come from?

  • Ok, I hate to push a product but I have to relent.. I have been a coke addict my entire life and I have to admit this Pepsi Throwback is very yummy! It actually taste very good and I think beats the taste of Coke. I mean why not go back to Natural sugar and quit using the Corn Syrup.. I don't care if the sugar cane comes from Brazil or anywhere outside of the USA it taste BETTER! Go back to real sugar.

  • High Fructose Corn Syrup is evil I tell you, EVIL! Hell yes, bring back the sugar! Nothing beats that sugar rush!

  • Coca-Cola.

  • For anyone looking to try this out. This stuff is SO GOOD. Pepsi Throwback is so so crisp and it feels so much more 'natural' sad it's only temporary. =/

  • This is the most important move in the soda industry in about 30 years. They gotta change the name though.... like The REAL Real Thing or Pepsi Pure... either way real sugar signals the stomach that it it full HFCS does not. Sugar also metabolizes correctly as opposed to going straight to inspire the creation of fat like HFCS, which is partly why the obesity rate has increased since the use of HFCS began. I'm back in the Pepsi Generation. Thanks Pepsico!

  • Makes me wanna go out and buy a Cutlas and a velour track suit... Looks like lots of the commercials I remember from the mid to late seventies - GROOVY!

  • cool ad :D

  • So what were they using before?

  • duhh.. artificial, its sweeter and less calories

  • they were using high fructose corn syrup before, emopope u couldve been more specific lol

  • this is exactly what happens when you drink pepsi, with REAL sugar!

  • im drinking my first one right now, its better than regular pepsi

  • What the heck is natural sugar? Isnt sugar natural already? Like was there aspertamne in it the whole time?

  • there was high fructose cornsyrup its fake sugar in of syrup natural sugar is Real Sugar

  • I swear I will never buy HFCS Pepsi ever again after tasting this stuff. The packaging stinks, but this IS my beloved 'real' Pepsi. I missed it!

  • Bought 2 twelve packs of each last weekend. Have been trying to limit myself to one per day to make them last. Love the Mt. Dew, so much better than the HFCS stuff. I'm addicted! Please don't let this be a limited run, make this a permanent product!!

  • Yeah, real sugar.

  • I like Coca-Cola's Summer Cans better than this.

  • This funny thing is that in the actual '70s, the company had long since abandoned the "Pepsi-Cola" script logo featured here.

I wish they'd used the real '70s Pepsi logo for the Throwback product.

  • The then-current 1973 Pepsi logo was actually used in the prototype packaging - which I, too, would have preferred.

  • I M A CocaCola Man From Now On

Pepsi Can Spoil In The Can As Far As

Pepsi 1 Flag Coke 6 Flags

  • Dont Post A Video Resonse To Pepsi

They Remove Them And Be Chick'n Shit About It

  • Pepsi Your Cowards

  • I love it with real sugar. I want to taste Moutain Dew with sugar. Come Pepsi give me what I want.

  • you know this is good when you're nose is burning lol

  • They need to get this damn stuff in stores so I can buy it and drink it. :)

  • ugh! I know! I can't find it anywhere.

  • north carolina almost every gas station and store sells this and ive still not tried it yet

  • i can't find it in my town, either!!! the commercial and the music's great, though!!

  • It's everywhere is Michigan, only the Pepsi one is good I think though.

  • Awesome video!! Can't wait to try it out for myself :) We did a little throwback video of our own, and of course we included your vid in the mix...so come check it out!

  • it's at my local supermarket in Saint Louis.

hate the name though, should have called it Pepsi Retro. "throwback" is not a good name for a drink...

  • I love that they used the older logo though. Name wise maybe - Pepsi - Raw ...:-)

  • I have found 2 gas station Barney places that have the 20 oz bottles. I LOVE it~ In the market place as a consumer I have only had 2 of them! I want more- it really is good - soft bite taste!!

  • maybe it hasnt came out

  • I can't find it anywhere.

  • it's only for 8 weeks though :(

  • i had some of this for the first time today. it is DELICIOUS!

  • Yay I don't have to buy those expensive Mexican Coca Cola bottles anymore.

    I mean for a while.

  • I love this commercial and I love Pepsi Throwback!! Finally, companies are starting to listen to customers about putting natural cane sugar back in their products, instead of high-fructose corn syrup!! I've contacted Pepsi and asked them to keep making Pepsi Throwback on a regular basis and hope they will.

  • I'm loving the singer(s) in this commercial. sounds like The Hone Comb! can't wait to try this version. the name is a lil' wierd though. i like pepsi retro better.

  • dude, this commercial is the shit!

  • Pepsi- Throwup

  • Don't drink this while driving it causes Hallucinations

    Sugar the new LSD

  • so i kinda want her dress...

  • Wow, that's what natural sugar does? Psh, fuck acid, then.

  • umm they use it in Sweden too.

  • No, they don't. Because it's practically banned, noone eats stuff with that bullshit in it.

I'm from Sweden, so I think I'd know better then you.

  • In Sweden HFCS is banned. Hey, USA should totally do that too because HFCS tastes like crap.

Oh and in Sweden all sodas use Natural Sugar.

  • LOL! Wrong HFCS. Certain countries in Europe banned hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs). I can't believe you actually think Pepsi would make a separate recipe for a few small countries. Typical "OMFG everting iz better in teh EU!!1111"

  • Well, there really is Sugar in sodas here. They really do use another recipe here.

    Lol.

  • Natural sugar is worse. Corn syrup is pretty much just sugar in liquid form. Difference is, natural sugar rots your teeth more. Fact. Won't stop me from drinking throwback though.

  • Corn Syrup is made from corn and contains the sweetner, fructose. Sugar is made from either cain or beet and contains the sweetner sucrose. They are different in many respects. There is also a pretty noticeable difference between a soft drink sweetened with Corn Syrup vs Sugar. I bought some Mountain Dew throwback and I loved it. I am not a mountain dew drinker normally but the sugar sweetened version was so much better than the regular syrupy version.

  • Oh and high fructose corn syrup is doubly problematic, because it fails to stimulate leptin (the hormone that makes you feel full) and doesn't lessen ghrelin (a hormone that makes you hungry).

  • Please keep natural sugar sodas!!! HFCS is disgusting.

  • Wow that big strong man's voice is right,I should buy it and drink it.

  • lol

  • I Love Coke and Pepsi.

  • how about instead of poisoning us with high fructose corn syrup you just continue to make it with natural sugar from now on... I love how american's brag about how we have the most healthy people when we're the only ones to accept fluoridated water and a multitude of other shit that destroys our bodies. i will only buy this product and then when the deal is over im done with soda for good.

  • am i the only one that think it taste like coca cola?

  • this pepsi taste like it did back in 1980s before all that syrup crap took away some of the taste....the mountain dew is awesome too!!!

  • i dont like pepsi but i love this commercial because of stoners :D

  • im trying it this weekend i already know its going to taste awesome

  • Why cant you disappear, asshole

  • what are you talking about "we" dont like pepsi. i love pepsi

  • I love this type of Pepsi! I like the announcers' voice in the commercial lol

  • That's Kevin Michael Richardson's voice. The one who's going to be on the new show, "The Cleveland Show" on Fox.

  • This stuff kind of has a slight aftertaste if you are used to drinking the HFCS. I actually prefer the corn syrup over the regular sugar. If diet Pepsi tasted like this, I would drink diet...but for the 150 calories, I prefer the High Fructose Corn Syrup stuff.

  • YOU CAN BUY PEPSI THROWBACK AT ALL TARGET STORES...

On sale for $2.75 a 12 pack! PEPSI WITH REAL SUGAR NO YUCKEY CORN SYRUP!!

  • i love pepsi throwback so much. I stopped buying soda until I tasted throwback..oh wow its so much smoother. I am sad its only for a limited time, I hope strong sales convince pepsi to make it permanent.

  • sweet

  • I LOVE this commercial, but moreover the product is great! I absolutely love the way the stuff tastes, and it too is flying off the shelves in my town. Judging by the posts here it's selling like hotcakes pretty much everywhere it can be found. If it sells beyond what they estimated it will become a permanent fixture. It's smart of them (surprising) and it's just an incredibly tasty soda. The Mountain Dew Throwback is sublime, too.

  • The throwback Pepsi & Mountain Dew taste much better than the corn syrup versions, I'd rather buy these than the current versions.

The store I work at keeps running out of them too, so with any luck Pepsico will make these permanent at some point.

  • OK...I officially have a new favorite commercial. This is great!

  • This is pepsi's own video, so if you want this to stay, keep saying it, no doubt their marketing people are reading these comments.

  • trippy!

  • its 3d!

  • This stuff flies off the shelf at the store where I shop. When I first found it I bought 3 twelve packs myself. Hope they continue to make it. Love the taste, so much better than the HFCS stuff. Why is this for a limitied time only?!!!

  • pepsi with cane sugar shouldn't be a throwback, it should just be how it is. fuuuuuuck you corn syrup.

  • The commercial is awesome. I'm very interested in a non-corn syrup soda. However they don't seem to sell this in Colorado. Why not?!

  • Where can i hear the radio ad for pepsi throwback?

  • I'm so glad that PepsiCo has decided to "re-release" their original pre-corn syrup versions of Pepsi & Mountain Dew. I bought a few bottles of both Pepsi & MD Throwback, and I do have to say that they taste much better, a much cleaner flavor. I hope they make the Throwback flavors a permanent product!

Also, dig the commercial, very retro-styled, even down to the dusty film look at the beginning :)

  • i like throwback better than the regular pepsi

  • This tastes way better than regular Pepsi! This is how Pepsi's are originally made, and how they should keep being made!I bet Pepsi will get more money out of these than what they get out of today's Pepsi pruducts.

  • I love this stuff! It tastes 10 times better than today's Pepsi and the logo is purely awesome!

And 6 ingredients and no high fructose corn syrup = amazing! This should stay on shelves forever, along with the Mountain Dew.

  • they should have went with the 1980's red, white n blue pepsi label

  • these throwback flavors are overrated...the corn syrup flavors taste better and quenches my thirst.

  • Happy 123rd Birthday Coca-Cola!

  • RONALDO!!!

  • That's nice!!!

  • Awsome commercial. So much better than all those commercials that try to be "cool."

  • I just got some Pepsi Throwback today. Had a can of "normal" Pepsi, and then had the original Pepsi Throwback, and the Pepsi Throwback, while it doesn't taste as heavy or thick as "normal" Pepsi, it's alot smoother, better taste, not as intense. Why is this staying around until June? I much rather drink sugar over High Fructose Shit anyday.

  • is this a real commercial from the 1970s?

  • No, you dolt.

  • Nope. It just looks like one. No commercial in the 1970s would have a web address on it. ;-)

  • Comment removed

  • This is the one.

  • This commercial is extremely well made. The recreation of the 1970s look and feel (along with the use of film grain) was superb.

  • The worst part about these 'Throwback' drinks is that it's only for a limited time!

  • I think Pepsi should keep this one on the market!

  • ya im drinkin it right now.. its good

  • It is nearly impossible to find Throwback Pepsi in Houston TX. The Kroger's supply last week is gone completely. Many stores aren't carrying it. What's the deal? Pepsi has never been known as a shy advertiser. Maybe there are just too many Pepsi products on the market. I will buy Throwback all the time if I can find it.

  • The pepsi vendor in my area won't even put it out on the shelves. It just sits in the stockroom collecting dust. :(

  • This stuff is good. I am not a Pepsi drinker. I buy sugar Coke from Mexico. The Throwback is not as good as Mexican Coke, but its close. After avoiding high fructose sodas for a while, I had a US Coke yesterday. I could definitely tell the difference. Sugar is 100% better.

  • Wow I had the Mountain Dew and I think I finally know what Mountain Dew was originally supposed to taste like. The natural stuff tastes like a flavor instead of a sickly tasting sweet flavor. I am yet to try the pepsi natural as the store was sold out. I will switch from coke to Pepsi if they keep this on the market

  • yummy- cant wait to try- now only if they had it more readily available in glass bottles :)

  • It's weird, but I think it was 7up that had commercials like this in the '70s (that is, when they didn't have that bald guy sitting on a white whicker chair saying "the un colahhh!)

  • pause at :10. see the shroomz on the bottom right-hand side??? LOL!!! You gotta love it!!! It gives it that 70's feeling!!

  • i hate coke go PEPSI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The logo that they use is from the 40s/50s, but they market it like its from the 1970s.

  • Pepsi Throwback is the same at regular Pepsi. They Both taste the same.

  • Not really the same. Regular Pepsi Has HFCS in it. Pepsi Throwback does not. So it's not the same.

  • This person's taster is broken. If they can't tell the differance.

  • I have Mexican Pepsi/Coke/Sprite/7UP readily available to me. All of these are made with pure cane sugar. Soda drinkers in this country should demand companies provide all of their sodas with can sugar as opposed to HFCS. They have no choice but to listen.

  • I am so glad they made regular Pepsi again. I will boycott HFCS pepsi until they make this permanent. It may happen... Here is my theory: Corn can be grown all over this country, but sugar can only be grown in South Florida. That's why we put Corn in everything! My guess is Obama is becoming friendly with Cuba again so that we can import sugar from them, repair their economy and free up corn use for ethanol production for fuels. He is from Illinois, so he can't turn his back on big corn.

  • They're probably bringing this out because many people are buying Mexican Coke (made with sugar) in big numbers. I saw Pepsi Throwback the other day when I was working, then went I want to actually buy it I can't find it anywhere. I will not buy sodas with HFCS, period! Wait...I meant exclamation mark!

  • why can't these motherfuckers make this their permanent version? Oh, boo-hoo, the corn suppliers would be upset.

  • PEPSI, MAKE THIS PRODUCT PERMANENT. We don't like HFCS! (If you agree with this statement, repeat it please!)

  • bring this to Canada, STAT!

  • Pepsi owns coke anyday.

  • All that pepsi owns is a terrible formula.

  • I agree. Plus, Coke has 10 fewer calories per 12 oz can than Pepsi in the HFCS version.

  • Someone please post the Pepsi Throwback radio commercial. Sure is a load better than this TV version. And, Wolfman Jack does the voiceover.

  • Dear PepsiCo: DITCH the HFCS that makes people fat and useless. These are currently the best tasting drinks on the market. I will love you forever if you keep this formula. Thank you so much, from the bottom of my happy hypoglycemic heart! <3

  • This stuff is awesome. It doesn't have the nasty aftertaste and texture that regular Pepsi has.

  • when was this made

  • wouldnt it be CHEAPER for them to use natural sugar in the first place, instead of adding all of the other bullshit.

  • actually, no. the reason why the industry used HFCS in the first place is b/c it's way cheaper than cane or beat sugar. the corn subsidies that our government has in place makes the process of converting corn glucose to fructose cheaper than importing sugar from foreign countries.
