What a charming game.

It's cool how they stuck with a simple presentation that match the concept, instead of going with flashy F-Zero style or Triple AAA dramatic super action movie/game.

it's like they were trying to reach the old folks that fantasized about piloting submarine when they were kids, instead of aiming the game towards the spoiled young gamers.

Unfortunately, i don't think many players in general will be able to appreciate that.

I want to know if I should get a 3DS. I am going on a 20 hour drive and need something to do, but $250 isn't exactly cost effective. my psp broke after many years of heavy use, and i really liked it. i could get a used ds lite but it feels kinda weird spending $100 on an old system and i'd need to spend more on games, but many of the games don't appeal to me. i like old school games but ds has too many puzzle games with almost no graphics, im going to get a ps vita, but i need help for the trip.

@rubertoe123456 the 3ds is def worth it but i recommend getting a car charger because if you want to play it with 3d turned on and brightness at max it wont last you long, only about 4 hours with everything turned on and 3d at max

@rubertoe123456 You have 4 options Buy, Borrow, Beg or Steal (I don't usually recommend the last one.) oh and one last option:read (If you don't get nauseous). DS Lite has a huge library, allowing both DS and GBA titles. I still have and love mine. Then again it's good to get the 3DS now before it becomes all the rage when all the big games come out. Then again the EPIC of Legend Of Zelda:Ocarina of Time 3D is out so that should keep you satisfied. (If u have Advil.)

In Europe, you have the benefit of having many different cultures, and more importantly, countries packed into a relatively small area compared to the U.S. Therefore, you are way more likely to be familiar with the pronunciation of German words. Americans don't have this experience, so they will naturally mispronounce foreign words more often. If you can't realize that, then you're adding to the stereotype of annoying Europeans who think all Americans are stupid.

I liked Steel Diver for the 2-3 hours of content it had, fun stuff, the controls were quite cool too... but my big problem with it is that it felt more like a tech demo for the DS rather than a showcase of the 3DS' capabilities... It just felt like it came out 7 years too late really.

This game was actually a tech demo for the DS before its release in 2004, later it was supposed to come out as a downloadable title for the DSi but never did. When the 3DS was releasing, Nintendo went through their warehouse of unreleased games, found this and threw it out there as a launch title.

I'm reminded of games like Wave Race 64 or Chibi Robo when I see this game. It's one of those Nintendo Franchises that sort of experiments and completely breaks their norm. It's sort of a Submarine Simulation Game and you don't get many of those ever. I think the only reason people don't like it is cause they seldom play anything like it.
