IN eastern NC two army truck parts dealers scrapped all of the gas M35's that they had. I bought one gas M35 former tank truck and plan to restore it. My father bought a 53 M35 gas in 1965 and built a heavy boom truck on it which I still have and drove lots during and after high school. Anybody in these trucks locally have forgotten the Gas model or don't want it. The one in your video has a carb that I am unfamiliar with . Mine has a holley elbow (right angle version)
Yeah, I would burn up 50 gallons of mogas a day in one of these. Nice truck you have there. Nice sounding engine too. There is an exhaust pipe extention that fits on the tail pipe that makes them run more quiet. Lots of under steer, but fantastic brakes. The only thing I would add would be the chain and pad lock through the steering wheel.
Nice! My first project truck is going to be a '53 Studebaker M35 with the same engine. Now I'll know what it'll sound like when we get it running. Most of the videos I found of the M35 were all diesel or multi-fuel. Nice to get a good perspective of what I'll be dealing with!
wow, look up a canadian forces MLVW, becides the tires, engine, and clutch, theres almost absolutly no change, and our mlvw's were made in the mid 80's
awsome

That is a different carb than I remember on this engine, May not be the original, but if it works ok I would keep it anyway.
