Bioshock, Ninja Gaiden, Resident Evil 5, Mass Effect, Metal Gear Solid 5, Gears of War 1 & 2, Dead Space, Assassin's Creed, Drake's Fortune, Fallout 3 (this is in First Person, but like the Metroid Prime series, it is not a FPS), Oblivion (same as fallout), Fable 2, Little Big Planet, and I could go on and on. None of those are FPS games and they are all great. So now give me all the great Wii games that AREN'T nintendo games.
Also, Bioshock, Dead Space, Gears of War 1, Fallout 3, Oblivion and Mass Effect can ALL be played on a PC. And let's not forget the eminent ports of Fable 2, Resident Evil 5 and Gears of War 2.
My point is, you can get a similar, if not exactly the same gaming experience on a PC that you can get on a 360, and similar to a PS3. No matter how good Bioshock 2and Mass Effect 2 are, I'll be able to play them WITHOUT buying an awful peice of harware like the 360. I actually have a lot of respect for the PS3 though, but none for 360.
Also, where did you get the idea that Melee is better than Brawl? And besides, Brawl is a sequel to a fighting game, almost all of those are re-hashes; Street Fighter 2,3 and 4, Soul Calibur 2, 3, and 4 and so on. The whole point of a sequel to a fighting game is to improve the system, and Brawl did.

It is your opinion that Brawl is an improved version of Melee just like it is mine that it is a sever downgrade ;) And yes, I know that successive fighting games are usually rehashes with improved gameplay mechanics (such as the first Smash Brothers and Melee), it's just that Brawl is not an improvement.
What is it about brawl that is such a huge downgrade from melee that caused you to hate it so much? Is it just because its on a system that you hate just because it doesn't have an enourmas library of M rated games and doesn't hide its crappy games like the PS3 and Xbox 360 do.
I logged over 700 hours into Melee (mostly with friends since solo multiplayer sucks as with any Smash game). I loved that game and still play it from time to time. Brawl's maps, IMO, were terrible compared to Melee and the online is absolute crap. Yes, I know having and online at all should be great, but to include such a terrible feature is just dumb (like the versus multiplayer in RE 5 which is the worst thing I have ever played).
That's why Nintendo put in some of the Melee maps, plus, you can build your own stages. And yeah the online is really laggy unless you have a great internet connection, and you can only do two minute matches when you want to play with anyone, but when you with friends, everything's just as great, unless they have a bad connection of course.
It is an improvement for some and for others not. I like the stages a lot more and the characters, but the tripping part is lame. Still like brawl more then melee though for 2 reasons alone. SNAKE AND SONIC
And plus, why are you complaining about re-hashes? The 360 is just the original Xbox with nicer graphics, and the PS3 is an over-priced PS2 with, guess what, better graphics.

If you want to be so simple, then the Wii is nothing more than a GameCube with gimmick controls that are never used correctly or just not used at all. For example, why do you think the motion controls are hardly used in Super Mario Galaxy? Besides a few moves and collecting Star Bits, they aren't used because they are nothing more than a useless gimmick. Same goes for Twilight Princess. Why do you think the GameCube version is better than the Wii's? Because the motion controls suck.

I agree with you here. My simple point is that the Wii is not for everyone. I used to love Nintendo (even through the gamecube, which is still hooked up to my TV with a stack of 20+ games) but they completely lost me with the Wii.

If wii games could have graphics as good as some 360 games, then that just means that the 360 is capable of having games with much better graphics than we have already seen on 360. If it can manage to beat Half-Life 2 and win a GOTY award then I will admit you are right, but given that HVS is making it (just look at their garbage track record) I am strongly doubtful.

Fallout 3 has a PC version, Assassin's Creed wasn't as great as the games it was ripping off, Price of Persia once again has a PC version, RE5 was a dissapointment compared to RE4, and Orange Box was not only had a PC version, but was a collection. I have owned nearly every console since the mid 80's, and i have to say the wii is the one i have played the most. Whats even better is the wii has games for everyone, so both my kid and wife have games they play on the system (in stark contrast to my x360). In my house atleast the x360 have begun collecting dust (time to wipe it off for RE5).

The developers have explained that there are a lot of advantages to having the Wii´s IR pointer to control the minions so that sounds really good for the Wii version.

That's funny, I didn't know you were some powerful, almighty Deity who's OPINION is fact. If, however, you were talking about the CG, you got me there. Wowie, the Wii can't even play teh rendered scenes. What you don't get, and this IS why God of War looked so good. It is not that console had some amazing graphics card or processor. No, what makes a game look good is it's art direction, something that can be done on any system. even on the "pathetically underpowered" Wii.

My point is, you can get a similar, if not exactly the same gaming experience on a PC that you can get on a 360, and similar to a PS3. No matter how good Bioshock 2and Mass Effect 2 are, I'll be able to play them WITHOUT buying an awful peice of harware like the 360. I actually have a lot of respect for the PS3 though, but none for 360.

And besides, Brawl is a sequel to a fighting game, almost all of those are re-hashes; Street Fighter 2,3 and 4, Soul Calibur 2, 3, and 4 and so on. The whole point of a sequel to a fighting game is to improve the system, and Brawl did.

I logged over 700 hours into Melee (mostly with friends since solo multiplayer sucks as with any Smash game). I loved that game and still play it from time to time. Brawl's maps, IMO, were terrible compared to Melee and the online is absolute crap. Yes, I know having and online at all should be great, but to include such a terrible feature is just dumb (like the versus multiplayer in RE 5 which is the worst thing I have ever played).

That's why Nintendo put in some of the Melee maps, plus, you can build your own stages. And yeah the online is really laggy unless you have a great internet connection, and you can only do two minute matches when you want to play with anyone, but when you with friends, everything's just as great, unless they have a bad connection of course.

For example, why do you think the motion controls are hardly used in Super Mario Galaxy? sin & punishment 2, all the nintendo rereleases with wii controls, not to mention anything not announced yet first or third party. we could still very well see a starfox, kid icarus, f-zero, kirby game, just for example. so although there is no re5, left 4 dead, killzone doesnt mean that the games coming out dont matter, by the way have fun not being able to play madworld or the conduit on your 360's and ps3's! peace:)

Fallout 3 has a PC version, Assassin's Creed wasn't as great as the games it was ripping off, Price of Persia once again has a PC version, RE5 was a dissapointment compared to RE4, and Orange Box was not only had a PC version, but was a collection. Also, if you're saying World of Goo is stupid, then why did you list Little Big Planet? I have owned nearly every console since the mid 80's, and i have to say the wii is the one i have played the most. Whats even better is the wii has games for everyone, so both my kid and wife have games they play on the system (in stark contrast to my x360). In my house atleast the x360 have begun collecting dust (time to wipe it off for RE5).

The developers have explained that there are a lot of advantages to having the Wii´s IR pointer to control the minions so that sounds really good for the Wii version.

That's funny, I didn't know you were some powerful, almighty Deity who's OPINION is fact. If, however, you were talking about the CG, you got me there. Wowie, the Wii can't even play teh rendered scenes. What you don't get, and this IS why God of War looked so good. It is not that console had some amazing graphics card or processor. No, what makes a game look good is it's art direction, something that can be done on any system. even on the "pathetically underpowered" Wii.
