I just saw Rizatdinova's new ball at Moscow GP and your montage pop up in my mind....I couldn't think of anything else until I found it back on Youtube.
Thanks for making such great montages, would you mind to upload them somewehre so I could keep them on my computer ?
well i dont usually see judges throw anything, because well.. they're judging i dont think it would be professional of them to show how they feel strongly compelled after a performance. Usually the audience does it
It's sad that Irina was in the shadow of Kabaeva, who was extermely overrated.
Irina's routine always had something special , she has something special about her.I respected her more after watching her interview on youtube, I understood why she looked sad at times.
judges can score the way they want, people are no fool and can tell the good gymnast from the bad one, and I'm sure many people agree that Irina is great gymnast
It was scandalous the way in which judges many times behaved to her.
And I'm sure she would have lost her olympic gold without her bad mistake too... Kabaeva was the winner chosen by judges, since the end of he Olympic games in Sidney...
really a wonderful montage....what a pity she is retired fron RG...i miss her so much,i think she was one of the best gymnasts in the story of RG,thousand times better than Kabaeva...she deserved the gold in Athen,i think that the score for her ribbon was too low,ok for the peanalty, she did a little mistake, but the score for technical elements was really too low,at least 9,250 not lower....
Nobody got a technical score above 8.700. If she did very well (27.300+) she could have at least gotten close to Kabaeva. Unfortunately she tangled her ribbon and it went out of bounds, but getting second is still very good.
Anyway, even if she would had not do this mistake (Olympic 2004) at the ribbons, Viner would just had arrange with her mafia judge team for she can't get the related score... Hoop and Ball routin of Kabeava were so bad... A shame for this sport that at the end Ira didn't won in any case!
Actually, there's no real letter by letter translation of the name Chaschina from cyrillic to latin letters, because the Ch (Tch) and sch (ch) are letters in cyrillic that have no equal in latin. The most common version is Tchachina, because it's what sounds the most correct in english pronounciation, but Chaschina is more correct directly translated, and is what russians write when they write these letters, so that's why I use it. Plus I think it's prettier =)
I 4got that u had this montage! I made one simular by coinsidence, but it wasnt to say goodbye, it was just showing ira's success from her early competing yrs to her later competing yrs (1997-2005).
i'm a ballet dancer so i don't presume to know a lot about gymnastics ;) what i like about tchachina, though, is that she makes the in between transition steps/movements as important as her big flashy leaps and catches (sorry i don't know the technical terms). great video btw!
There's something un-this-worldly about Tchachina. The first time I saw her was in the Madrid Worlds. The way she moved on the floor...simply stunning, reminding me of a nymph. Of course I didn't know how a nymph should look like. The idea just flashed into my head and I have always had the feeling about her since then.
Guys she is not dead. Omg. she is not. She just recently opened her own fitness club in Moscow. She is the best really. This talent, its amazing.. N she is so hardworking, its unbelievable.

I know why she retired.Because she hurt her ankle and she had to get surgery from what I heard but that might just be a rumor.I think she is a very good gymnast actually I think she is the best.My coach told me once that if our team went to russia to train we wouldnt be able to handle it because that is how hard they train.KajaRG are you a rhythmic gymnnast I am if so tell me and tell me what level you are in.Thanks for the video.I loved it.
Thx a lot KajaRG!! That was wonderful! i like it very much! What was the music? And in which competition was the last ball routine being performed? The one in which Ira with white leotard and pink ball?
Thank you, Kaja. Very nicely done. Time flies and it is growing more obvious that no one could be compared to her then ...

I´m a weeper lol.
oh Gosh I love her, I loved every single moment of her during her carreer......even when she failed.
She is a style icon in rhythmic gymnastics, pretty much the first of her kind and I highly doubt we´ll ever see someone as amazing and unique as her.
she is truly 1 in a million, and definitely she´ll always be the best for me.
I love Irina and I miss her terribly
