@MrLooopen FOR FUCKS SAKE! It's music. Music is a form of expression. No one expresses ANYTHING the same. This band is unique, they are free to express their musical talent how ever way they like. Aside from that, They shouldn't have to sound EXACTLY like you think they should for a genre, because again, IT'S A FREEDOM OF THEIR EXPRESSION. This song is full of passion, the band is married to the music There is no reason this should need to be classified under a genre other than music

@MrLooopen Calm down, they're not trying to pass themselves off as the second coming of 'real folk' or anything! No-one even described them as folk; they're just a semi-acoustic indie band, it doesn't automatically make them a weak imitation of 'real folk'. In any case 'real folk' is a bit arbitrary- it's a broad spectrum. I mean, the Pogues are rocky, Dubliners more traditional, Richard Thompson's actually pretty genre-busting. It boxes artists up when you try to fit them into just one genre.

@etake04 Yeah I probably should calm down I agree. I was just dissapointed as I read in some music mag that these were the new saviours of folk. I know not to trust anything written by muso journalists but I do feel there is alot of imitation going on these days but I suppose that always happens in artistic endeavours. True the Pogues are rocky but if you listen to Magowans songwriting it is obvious he has a very deep and passionate understanding of the folk traditions of storytelling and melody

It's funny, how I feel about this song. I've found this by accident, and at first, I didn't like it. But then, with no reason, I clicked the replay button. And I felt in love with this song. Now I cannot understand why I disliked this song earlier and I HAVE TO listen to it EVERY DAY to feel better, because If I don't, my whole day seems really weird... like I was missing something. Weights & Measures makes me feel happier and calmer - like this guy was singing out all my emotions. I love it.
