While you re working, you pay into social security and medicaid so the government is only giving back to what we ve paid into. Sure private 401 K plans really work, don t they. I know. I don't see why Congress and President just come together and say that if you are senior citizen andmake less than $75,000 you don't have to pay federal taxes anymore. If you make more than 75,000 and are a senior citizen, you pay only 5% in federal taxes that way they would help them have the money to pay for healthcare costs

You are neither resolving the problem nor introducing a new solution. This whole tax elimination or dramatic decrease in percentage of federal tax for this segment of the society simply rearranges the issue by diverting a returned tax to the senior citizens back into the pockets of the insurance companies. Your offer doesn't address the underlying dilemma and that's the out of control cost increase that's being jammed into people's health care cost by the industry. We need something better.
