Hey, do you think if Cooler Master RR-910-HTX3-G1 130-Watt 92mm Hyper TX3 CPU Cooler for 775/1156/AMD/AM2/AM3 fould fit in Mid tower PC case? I have a Smilodon PC case from Raid max.
Is this is suppose to be an instructional video by a supposedly "experienced" guy. I'll bet you 20 bucks he never installed a 212 before otherwise why would he have to look at the instructions every 2 seconds. Additionally, make sure you secure the heat sink to the mobo before installing the fan otherwise you can't get to the screws. Apply a small amount to the gaps between the heat pipes ON THE HEAT SINK. FYI i don't pass 60c on Prime95 for 12 hours, idle @ 31/33c. core i7 930
@gerry410 If you had watched the first video, you would've heard him admit it was the first time installing any aftermarket heat sink, let alone a Hyper 212.
I just installed this, and I checked on the stats, and it is spinning at around 660 RPM....is that ok ? will it go up when the CPU produces more heat ? or did I get a faulty one ?
The Hyper 212 isn't really that noisy even with the 2 fan push and pull configuration. Hardly audible unless you put your ear right next to it. Now this may vary upon different fans so it really depends on the fans you install on it. However, the stock fan is quiet.
The fan is replaceable as long as it's a 120mm fan.

IF you are looking for an extra fan, then it is easy to just go out and buy one from a local computer store... You can add an extra one.
