the santa fe IS very capable off roader....i am very confident in mine when i go trailing...stop by my channel and see for yourself how capable these are
@ThankYouSniper i wasn't the one who brought landrover into it!!! Only a Pom or blind fanatic would fail to see that there is some truth in what I said about breaking down. If I was trolling i would have been the one who was starting this conversation. Pretty sure it was you that started the comparing of cars and the profanities........Now go work on your landrover
@statesmanls1 i kind of feel like this is getting out of hand. lets just say i feel bad for people who waste their money on cars like these, i felt so strongly obligated to interject my opinion which i base on fact and a 2003 with over 100k miles on it and only problems I've had are tire replacement :/ i seldom take to good care as i usually wait thousands of miles to change my oil in this beast. hmm no break down? perhaps you need to research a little? kinda like i have.....
@ThankYouSniper Why is it a waste of money to buy one of these cars. They serve a purpose and it is NOT offroading. Thats why they call them soft roaders. Take them on trails that they are designed for and it can be a lot of fun. Why is it you rover devotees can't understand anything other than its my way or the highway. Let me remind you that you starting this pissing contest and that if you don't like these cars then why the fuck are you watching videos on them.
@statesmanls1 i didn't really start a pissing contest, and i just smoked so i;m not really in the mood to continue this, but basicly the ride and capabilities arn't even as good as a used rover thats all
no matrixloader, you do buy a landrover that is leaking oil and you go about fixing things,i would never ever try and remove a gear box from one of these jap softroaders, once you have repaired the leaks on a landrover, you will have cuts and bruises, but you will have a sense of accomplishment, but i suppose the office wallers that drive these things don't want to get grease and dirt and cuts on their hands, men must have dirt and cuts on their hands, they must.
have you seen the latest trash from land rover? what you are talking about is land rovers from days gone by, the defenders etc. they were manly off roaders. their current offerings are just as bad or worse than their asian competitors.
not everybody has the time or knowledge to fix their own car. its just ignorant to call someone an "office waller" because they are smart enough to buy a car they DONT have to ix. :) Good luck with your expensive Landrover that will keep you at teh auto parts store every weekend.
@DJAx3L2 - You're a faggot. The engine could die even if you are a pro driver. It doesn't matter if you have 1 km driven in your entire life or 150.000 km,the engine can die. And this guy was off road,on that rocks and there you're engine can die no matter of what car it is or what driver you are.
Hey man don't worry about what the other fuckers say. I'm glad you took the time to post this vid. The Santa Fe is probably one of the better softroaders that you can take offroad. Im assuming that one is a petrol and manual model?
Yes it is petrol and manual. I think if you went diesel you would want an auto. A diesel would have been off turbo the whole time. The whole time out there we were under 1000rpm trying to keep the car moving slowly. Some of those rocks while it doesn't look like it were a 1/3 or more the height of the tyres. If there was a low range gearbox it would be alright but because there wasn't it was difficult to crawl over them.
Heck yes. I took my mums '09 through a creek and it was FWD. haha. they are actually very capable vehicles

Land Rovers Suck! over rated and leak from everywhere like a jeep.
never buy a land rover! unless your rich and can afford to pay for big repair jobs often.

DJAx3L2 3 years ago
You ever tried creeping over rocks without low range? Give the engine more revs and u'd bounce over them and there would be no undercarriage left.
