hello samui. we are from suiss and like video of firework! samui has much shop for firework, this is good! I come samui many years before, but have no firework at this time! we come thailand this year soon, and come to visit in your shop! thank you
are the fireworks there a lot cheaper than here in the states ...i only buy ones that go up in the air but knowa days they are so expensive i payed 150 usd for 12 mortars all together i spent 4000 usd for a night of fun, it was fun!!! and im glad to know that you said sand takes the power away i didnt know that usually me and my familiy take em to the beach and light them in the sand now i know to take a block of wood
Hey bro... thanx for subscibing... hope you enjoy the vids!!
WOW!!! 4,000 usd!!! Good God!!! That is... erm... let me check....about 2,000 pounds (sterling)... and...erm... 100,000 Thai Baht!!! LOL LOL LOL Now THAT would be a nice shoot, with a serious amount of BIG mortars (particularly 6,7, and 8 inch display mortars... oh yes, oh yes, oh YES!! lol lol. Have a look at the 30,000 baht shoot vid to give you an idea what approx. 1,500 usd would get you! Keep smilin bud... peace - alan
Hey Jumbo... great question! We are very lucky to have a great safety barrier most of the time when we shoot... ie: sand! Most of our shoots tend to be on the beach around the island. But if we just put the mortars straight into sand, we could loose up to 15% of the power (sand compacts on the explosion-every action has an equal and opposite re-action), so we always put mortars onto a solid block of wood to ensure max thrust upwards. Thanx 4 posting dude. peace - alan
Fireworks are dangerous, and can even kill. We don't cut corners or maximise our profits by buying cheaper quality fireworks or the even cheaper Thai 'copies'. We buy only top quality fireworks from a leading Chinese supplier, and, since we don't know how they have been handled on the long trip from China, we dismantle and then re-build every firework we can get our mitts into! Our customers safety is our first concern. All of this takes time and effort, and THIS is what you are paying for ....
We believe we are more than good value for money and our 'Safety Record' proves it. You can buy cheaper, similar products that havn't been checked before being sold, but what price do you put on your safety? Some things you CAN cut corners with... some you can't! Our service is second to none... we will even shoot free for customers if they so wish! NOBODY on Samui knows fireworks better than us-we are worth every baht and more! :) DON'T PUT YOUR LIFE AT RISK JUST TO SAVE A FEW BAHT !!! Thanx!
No probs bro... sorry if I sounded off a bit... there is a pratt just started selling on Samui and he has started to make shitty comments on our site here... really bad form and very unprofessional... I thought you might be linked to him... now I know you arnt... apologies bro. We ARE the Dog's DooDaa's though, and proud of it! lol. Thanx for getting bak with such a positive comment bro... appreciated!
He he... lol... now I don't kno whether to believe you or not! lol Aussies love fireworks for sure... when they walk into the shop their jaws drop! Priceless! but 12? behave yourself! lol Take care amigo - peace-alan
Please Alan...come to the US, I promise you will get more business than any other store around here!! :)
Seriously though, are there any pyrotechnic laws over there? Pretty much everything you have is 1.3g over here, which means professionals only (can legally use them, at least).
Hey bud-As far as the law is concerned the only real restriction we have on Koh Samui is that we cant shoot after 9pm unless we ask the police first - for us (The Firework Shop) it is never a problem... it is simply to stop drunken tourists from shooting at crazy times of the night! Apart from that we are essentially self-regulating! We COULD get (and sell) 10/11/12 inch Mortars-but dont(too dangerous in drunken hands lol) we have a concience... some dont tho! Thanx for posting...cheers, alan
Hi raketmanishet, the answer is a big 'yes'! On Samui we can only shoot after 9pm if we get permission from the local police (never a problem), but up to 9pm is not a problem any night in the year... great eh? :)
Hi 190wat... thanx for posting. I'm not sure about Euros at the moment, but an English pound is approx 63 baht. Maybe you can work it out from that?... cheers... keep smiling!
checking fireworks? how about ripping the tops off and ruining them! dumbass and that multi morter pack would go off its a soft cardboard tube it takes the path of least resistance even though its not quite round it would go off and if it didnt it would just blow straight up through the tube unless you stand over it its ok! your a fucking moron and dont belong anywhere near firworks! also all fireworks are prechecked so leave'em alone even if you try to find bad ones you will still sell bad shit
Thank you so much for educating us about fireworks mark727111... you are obviously an pyrotechnic expert... shame you actually know zilch about fireworks though! lol. The 'tops' that you worry about are actually only paper... and the 'soft' cardboard tubes are actually resin re-inforced cardboard, which is very strong and incredibly difficult to manipulate! u r correct in assuming the fireworks are pre-checked tho... IN CHINA!!!
(cont'd)... They get thrown about quite a bit on the way to Thailand... so require checking and re-building to ensure they don't mis-fire. Only an idiot would 'assume' they are ok and not check... after all, these can kill people! Please tell me where your firework shop is, so that everyone knows that (1) you don't check your products for safety, and (2) you don't care about their safety, and (3) you actually know absolutely nothing about professional pyrotechnics! lol pmsl!!!!!!! :)
by the way 'mark727111'-'mortar' is spelt with an 'A',and the path of least resistance for an oval-shaped tube with a round-shaped shell is SIDEWAYS!AND(lol) if you stood over it when/if it left the tube, it would continue upwards, straight through you! I wonder-are you just one of the 'YouTube wind-up merchants', or do you really believe your comments? hmmmm, very worrying if you are actually involved in firework production/manufacture/sales. Maybe a bit of envy in there somewhere?! lol :)
i have never brought fireworks, firecrackers and all that kinda stuff. my aunty said shes getting me a bag of all the small stuff. what kind off stuff is the small stuff though??? i would really like to know.
Yup!!! cant shoot after 10pm tho (new law), but you can shoot on most beaches. Thai arnt the biggest users... it tends to be holiday makers and long-stayers (ex-pats etc)... we shoot for birthdays, weddings, parties of any and every kind, and sometimes just because people who cant shoot 'back home', can have their very own firework display for a fraction of the money they would have to pay in their own country. we also shoot for many of the resorts on the island...thai and 'felang'(tourists)
Hi... The Firework Shop is in Lem Hoy, Bantai, Maenam, Koh Samui... that's an island on the east coast of Thailand. And I can't imagine living anywhere else!! :)
thnx for replying. the reason why i asked is because i go to the same place every year for my fireworks. i spend anywhere between $600-$1000 us dollars every year and that usually fills up my suv. flying to thailand is not the issue for me and family (flying benefits...lol), i got my kids addicted to fireworks. i taught them how to respect them and the danger of fireworks if mishandled. im just wondering if i spend my yearly average in thailand, that should be plenty of fireworks, right?
Hi SLEEPONE! Well-1000 dollars will sure give you enough fireworks to put together one very nice display! I think you may well need to hire a trailer too tho! lol :) as your suv will be stuffed full! I suppose it really depends where you actually end up buying your fireworks, as the prices vary from place to place... but either way, you are still going to need a trailer!I will try to get a vid of a 30,000 baht package on the site soon (1000 $ is approx 35,000 baht) to give you an idea. Cheers!
omg thats so great, I would like to go there, where in thailand is it? Im like in the other side of the world but I will go there as soon I get the chanse...anyway you have a great assorment of fireworks and I thing you are the best store iv seen:D lucky thai people. what do a 4inch mortar cost, just for comparence to the swedish price. but you can´t buy them here in sweden anymore thoug.. it did cost 199-250kr(1063,03-1335,47 bat)pretty expensive here in sweden I say :) your just so great!
LOL ! What a bummer! I don't know if it is possible to bring fireworks into Laos from Thailand?... maybe worth asking around? If you can (?) feel free to visit any time! :)
Hi SLEEPONE-thanx for posting! How much? Well, the easiest answer is 'not as much as you would think!' :)50 dollars will buy you a fair few 3,4 and 5 inch Single-shot Display Mortars, and possibly 1 or 2 '6 inch' diameter Mortars too-a LOT of fun (and safe too, if you shoot them the way we advise), and the REALLY cool thing is that you can shoot them on practically ANY beach! There are very few restrictions in Thailand... although that DOESN'T give anyone permission to act dangerously! :)
Thanks for posting Kepkaa... the mortars are single-use only... the tubes get re-cycled afterwards - and, although there is no age limit in Thailand, we will not sell any of the 'bigger' fireworks to anyone under 18 years of age... unless accompanyed by a parent or other adult. We do however have a great range of kid's stuff... in fact my number 1 favourite firework in the whole shop is a 50 shot mini-rocket cube that costs only 60 baht (approx 1.5 Euro)!
hi! thanx for the comment. We actually have firecrackers with 250, 500, 1,000, and 2,000 shots! Firecrackers are loved by Thai people and are used in their 'ghost scaring' ceremonies and to generate 'good luck' for new ventures etc! we can create firecrackers with up to 10,000 shots... how many would you like!? :) :)
WOW!!! I want one of everything... and I want it NOW! lol I worked out that the massive 6 inch Mortar costs around 15 quid!!! MAD!!! I want 10! he he...
