Well I know it´s quite off-topic but when I see the lanscape in the video I must say that the american way of urbanization and the landscape planning are horrible. The worst is that major thoughts have been established also in Europe. Now we all "euroamericans" are slaves of our own cars.

Really nice video, have to agree it was a squeaky window but a great takeoff, nice sound and nice views too. Curious the sound 1:50- 1:55 was that the engine throttling up again after some sort of noise abatement? Sorry not very familiar with MD80s as there aren't as many opportunties to fly them this side of the Atlantic.

okay seriously jon im starting to get jealous i wanna get into an airplane and fly so bad i havent been in one since last year on a 6 hour flight from MIA to LAX to visit family i miss the feeling of getting pushed back in your seat when taking off and the funny feeling in your stomach when the plane is rotating not the mention the good part, poping your ears, everytime i see a plane taking off i wana be in it !!

Lol. Flying to New York earlier this summer I sat right behind the first class bulkhead (very front row of coach) and it had the most annoying squeak the whole ride (only 1 and a half hours, but it was still annoying).

@Scote1992 It's the leading edge slats retracting...you can see them as well. The sound is a combination of the motor driving the slats backward and the aerodynamic groan from the gap on the wing closing.

@peterlution Just pull it out as soon as they pass you on final pre-takeoff checks... It is technically banned, but that is just so that you are not focused on something if there is an issue and they need your attention... you will be fine :)
