I always hated this bit of the game... where I had to defeat all those bloody Team Rocket Grunts and Executives...then finding the director, which turned out to be an imposter, having to defeat HIM, then going down to the Underground only to encounter my stupid rival, then having to find the correct order to open the switches and having to battle those thieves in the process. Battle the executives then the grunts inside the warehouse and eventually getting to the director. Pffrt.

@enpointe64 Eh, can't say I don't share the sentiment. I did find the idea of backtracking in this part kind of annoying back then. But this music helped making it more bearable. So did the battle music.

I really liked the remixes in HGSS and their remix of this song was fantastic but, man did I and still do love the music from the original games.

The two seconds of the intro is the perfect cartoon villain music. The sound, the notes, everything. And then the rest of the song is a great balance between classy and sleazy which matches their mafia-like organization perfectly.

I love team rocket. All the other teams are like failing, misguided activist groups. Team Rocket were proper mean. They didn't care. No expanding the ocean or "making the world better" in ways no one understands for them. Just outright pokemon thievery. The way it should be done.
