Alot cheaper than my first one that passed away, we got him from a breeder and he was $2,000. Was still worth it though.

They play a lot, but some times it seems that playing gets out of hand and it results in them apparently fighting.. any recommendations? Should I break them up and give a vocal reenforcement of what they are doing is wrong or let them go at it?

I have 2 pittbulls male & female they play rough at times and when it seems to get out of hand it usually will end with a loud voice command but these kind of dogs are known to play rough

The best dogs in my view BUT agree wholeheartedly with toddy505 - they do crave company, you must have time for them or they will suffer (& chew through your house!). They are good travellers so don't mind travelling round in the car with you all day, just don't leave them alone ...

They don't even hucklebutt anymore. Do you know the term? What about weed-walking? Do yours do that? Mine do that more and more as they age. I think it's like getting drunk for them! Oh, I think you know the behaviors, just not the terms! Hucklebutt is when they tuck their butts in and run like mad, usually in circles. Weed-walking is sometimes called "trancing"...They Find a bush or plant or even clothes in the closet and walk slowly under them...kind of like an eplieptic seizure. They slowly come out of it after about 2 minutes and look very drunk. I'd be surprised if you haven't seen your bt's do this stuff. Write back!

bull terrioors are the best dogs. they are loving kind and will always be loyal to you. they are only killers if u force them to be. if it is raised in a loving house it will always love u.deep down they are as soft as poodles but will defend their owners with their life if they hve to. i dont understand how people can hate these dogs most of them have never owned one

Pit Bulls are now made to dog fight with other dogs and a pit bull is dangerous even if its always been a good dog it could always turn round and attack u like what my friends dog did
it savaged her and it has always been a gentle thing !!

these dogs have nothing to do with pit bulls.that is a different breed altogether.the only thing they share is "bull" in the name of the breed.These are ENGLISH BULL TERRIERS.

they are actually loving and gentle dogs.they could kill you with affection.they may look mean but they are as soft as a toy poodle with humans.males can be aggresive with other dogs so best to get them neutered at 6 months which usually helps.good luck!

there are no such thing as killer dogs it is or killer breeds this includes dobermans, pitbulls, rottys, bull mastiff anything it is the owner that puts them that way i have been around these breeds for a long time.

no. they do not have lock jaw. they are very muscular and strong. they are NOT killers and neither are pit bulls nor any other 'bull' breeds. Ever hear about mean poodles or goldens? no. It's because they don't have big jaws or 'bull' in their title.

I have a 4 year old bully - such a clown! The best dogs in my view BUT agree wholeheartedly with toddy505 - they do crave company, you must have time for them or they will suffer (& chew through your house!). They are good travellers so don't mind travelling round in the car with you all day, just don't leave them alone ...

I have a 4 year old bull terrier, his name is Andy and he is suck a sweetheart....our Dalmation and him are best of friends...brother and sister! Its funny to watch them wrestle around in the backyard...he is the frieght train and the Dal is pure speed and agility

hi jeremy,if you can spend most of your time with him,ie take him to work with you then they are truly amazing, one of a kind dogs.but they hate being on their own as they crave company,then they can be quite destructive due to boredom.hope this helps,and good luck with your choice of dog.

Perhaps the greatest BT vid ever! I miss my 2 (mother and son) wrestling, although I hated it at the time. Now they are old 7 & 10 and don't fuss to much w/each other. They don't even hucklebutt anymore. Do you know the term? What about weed-walking? Do yours do that? Mine do that more and more as they age. I think it's like getting drunk for them! Thank you for the vid, it was great.

Oh, I think you know the behaviors, just not the terms! Hucklebutt is when they tuck their butts in and run like mad, usually in circles. Weed-walking is sometimes called "trancing"...They Find a bush or plant or even clothes in the closet and walk slowly under them...kind of like an eplieptic seizure. They slowly come out of it after about 2 minutes and look very drunk. I'd be surprised if you haven't seen your bt's do this stuff. Write back!
