this makes my hair stand up on end all over my body. So much so that I feel like I am floating in my chair and my hair is trying to lift me from the ground.
I really love this video and am very happy you have this here, Thank you....I've probably already said this somewhere here but couldn't find my comment =) Oh and your translation is dead on. Wishing you Happy New Year and greetings from Moscow
allegedly Geir himself commented this sample as follows:
"The voice belongs to Karl Nikolajev, a Russian "biocommunicator"(telepathist), that is sitting in a room, trying to "see" which object is lying on a table two floors up.
The Radio Moscow-sequence I got from my own shortwaveradio."

I've posted those lines here in comments before and it won't hurt me to do it again from time t time :)
if you also like the more gloomy kind of ambient, check out biosphere/deathprod collaboration "nordheim transformed". exquisite interpretations of Arne Nordheim's electric works (norwegian composer). i saw that live and it blew me far far away. kind of dark and mystical, effin brilliant.
@leevancleef123 :) he really is the main man, id go harold budd runs him close though, and steve roach for when i want to fly beyond the ice and the fog.
This is deep , stirs your soul,, in deep retropective contempltion..poetry and emotion in a pure vibrational essance.. stillness and essence.. beautiful and emotional....a CLASSIC
you can find it(and other translations and samples) in google groups (utfg :P)

Thank you so much! I was looking for this for ever! I had never guessed that in a million years. All along I was imagining him telling a story of lost love for some reason...
Stunningly Beautiful as always...hadn't heard this in years. Thanks for posting, truly timeless music that should live on.

-this is either metal, or painted metal, cold surface
-this is either painted metal, or, perhaps, plastic
-multicoloured, there's... Bright. Looks like... maybe it is a toy
-the surface is smooth, but there are some sort of ledges
-the finger even gets stuck... maybe these are some sort of inlays... or these are letters... or simply projections
-looks like a toy
-metal of different colors or plastic, painted metal
-that's all
-stop

The track's in fact Kobresia, from the same album. The oceanic string washes and the radio broadcast sample are quite unmistakable.
Thanks for contributing this :)
