Sry, KR was made in 1982 and Viper was 1994. However, the storyline is almost exactly the same, so it may be safe to say that Viper took inspiration from KR...

To be honest, the old series of Knight Rider was more realistic than this, as they both appear to have been made at the same time. I agree that this is now better than the new series of Knight Rider as it is more realistic, but the old Knight Rider series was more realistic. Hang on, this is getting complicated...

It's like the new Knight Rider. Except it has a cooler ride! Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying KITT wasn't cool, of course it was, I was all over that car as a kid. I'm saying this takes it to a whole new level.

lol. well in case somebody with some good insight about KITT vs VIPER was feeling nostalgic about Viper and only looked up one of these intro's, I wanted them to see the comment. Personally I think the new KITT is too unrealistic, and Viper may be more advanced.

I think Viper is more realistic, but to my surprise, none of my friends have heard of it. But this IS a great show.

i liked viper when it aired in Belgium but i don't like to call KR outlandish. KR had it's own fanbase and is in my opinion an equally good "futuristic car" series as Viper. Though it's quite a tragedy that i'm not able to watch Viper online as it isn't aired anymore in Belgium.
