I'm a Notre Dame and this was probably the maddest I've ever been after a game. Not because Purdue won, but because Bob Davie was an idiot, their coaching staff were idiots, and that was a terrible play call on 3rd and goal after they failed to properly manage the last minute of the game. I'm quite sure they had the ball at the 1 with something like 50 seconds left and couldn't punch it in. That's why Bob Davie now is a commentator because he sure as hell can't coach for shit.
It's the coaches job to make sure they understand what exactly everyone is doing and to get them all on the same page...even more so after a timeout. I don't care if he had to spoonfeed the play to them. They weren't prepared, and he is to blame. Nevermind the poor clock management that put them in that situation to begin with...better to score and leave some time than to not score at all, right? Besides, Bob Davie proved over time he was a terrible coach; this is just one example.
