fuck yes man this is what im talking about,, i like how you showed the wood thru the box,, im making a 6 string now,,just looking for the box really.. i have a neck off an johnson acoustic.. i think i need a deeper box the neck is wider then the cigar box i have romeo Julita . also the truss rod sticks out long.. how would i mount that to it?
Mounting acoustic necks are a little different. You'll want to put a heel block at the end of the box. Re-enforce the box along all the corners and edges to take the strain. I would either drill a hole (or two) for a dowel and set the neck to the box with Epoxy, or glue it in place and screw through the heel block into the neck. It's hard to describe in just this short comment. I'm making a 2nd DVD to cover this sort of neck join.
