I just ran Acid3 with Firefox 6.0.2, and it got to 100/100 with no problems.

Well, back in March according to Wikipedia, Firefox 4.0 Final was released March 22, 2011, so the standard Firefox release at the time of this video was still 3.6...for 5 days, but the beta of 4 was eagerly offered at the time. Since then, Mozilla has released Firefox 5.0 and 6.0, and have greatly improved upon web standards and progressive technologies. They're already working on the next 3 versions to be finalized.

I have got Windows 7 and Windows XP. Windows 7 has IE8 and Windows XP has IE6. But I have not upgraded to IE9 on Windows 7 or IE8 on Windows XP. As I found it made Windows slower when I did this. IE 9 is actually a pretty decent browser. It is a lot faster than any previous version and it finally follows modern web standards.. me as a web developer can only cheer for that I don't need to use CSS hacks anymore to make my sites work on IE! :D

Only thing which might be a problem in the future is that IE9 only has pretty basic support for HTML 5, while other browsers are already a lot further (and faster) with that.

Yes, you do need to use CSS hacks for a while now :(. IE8 and below aren't exactly disappearing any time soon. Maybe in a year or so we can be happy.

I know, I hate adding them to my HTML, but they are better because they keep the original readability of CSS (not adding weird character sequences to it) and don't rely on one problem to fix another. Although, to be honest, by now, IE8's probably the last one that's going to have to require that, it seems, but you never know.

@LordVarkson No problem =) If you need any help with it, shortly after IE7 was released a lot of articles about it came out because many websites started to break because IE7 fixed many of the problems which allowed the CSS hacks, but sometimes not the problems that people were using them for [^_^' ] But there were good articles about it before that too. Good places to look are websites about standards like A List Apart and Quirksmode.

I distinctly remember using a browser with the UI of IE 1 or 2, when I was in middle school. I recall, however, that when I went to Help->About, it gave a version number something like 4.0.something.or.other that I would today equate with the version of KERNEL32.DLL on an NT-series machine. (Though this instance of IE was running on Win95, I assume prior to OSR2)
