  • Good music horrible translation. Get a real ukrainian speaker to translate in the video.

  • Milla has always gotten good reviews for her musical works. We in the USA, of course, don't appreciate it!

  • Wow! She's so amazing & incredible voice-thx for the English translation

  • Wow! She's so amazing.

  • I like it :)

  • Awesome Actress, and great Song !

  • This song has so much soul...I could imagine it in some fantasy movie or video game. And why wouldn't everyone just stop fucking trolling,If you cannot listen to the song just get the hell outta here,or die or something...

  • Wow I didn't know she could sing. Milla is a gorgeous woman with a "beautiful soul" and a beautiful voice. I'm not a resident evil fan but how can you not love this woman.

  • @IX19UT8O: I do like her in UltraViolet though.

  • come one guys. just listen to music without spamming it with argument.

  • I like this song. Is amazing! This song has soul! Please! I want sing this song with you , dear Milla. Tell him to someone please!

  • duzhe harno ,bravo!!!

  • дякую Міла за улюблену прекрасну пісню! виконання чудове! Ви й сама як тендітна пташка!

  • The Ukrainian lyrics and the translation are all terribly wrong, but her song is pretty, albeit through a thick Russian accent.

  • Ya shall know Milla Jovovich she is was not born in Ukraina, but Serbia :) She is a cute woman, good singer and movie actor :) I have watched some of the movies she had played in :) Like the hot and cute Leeloo from The Fifth Element :)

  • Could I settle her nationality is Ukrainian, Citizenship is American, Ethnic background is Serbian and Russian if you are trying to figure out what nation made such a beautiful girl and voice just say a mixture of Eastern European, because I'm sure she has other country of origins in her like everyone else. But according to society Ukraine made a beautiful girl.

  • sound ,face like angel

  • Sound I like it reminds me of my mate from Belgrade, don't diss this gal she's more talented than any of u cunts

  • Why the heck am I receiving email updates on this stupid thing. A) Milla is Serbian AND Russian - her mother is Russian. She speaks Ukrainan Russian and sometimes even needs some words to be translated. This song is a folk song from Ukraine. Her words are clear, she's an incredible musician, you should see her live in concert. As for Nationality WHO GIVES A F*$%^! Bull&^%$ like that started both 1st world war and 2nd, who cares. She was Russian, she's American. You come to America at 5 - DUH

  • She sings in Ukrainian but with Russian accent. She does consider herself Ukrainian and visits Ukraine regularly.

  • Hahahahah...you guys argue about nationality and don't listen to the song...I am Serbian and I can say Milla is Serbian (because of her father) !! That wouldn't change the fact that she is a beautiful singer... And you would never have heard of her if she wasn't American now. I'd still love her if she was from another planet...

  • просто умничка

  • well, Ukraine stinks with pride)...though it has little to do with Milla, in common sense.

song is beatiful, voice is angelic. seems like there is some strange accent in her pronunciation (sounds rather Polish than Ukrainian) but it doesn't spoils it, not at all.

  • @greyres Ukraine has much more pride than any other European nation. Learn your cultural inteligency.

  • Translation sucks!

  • Приємно вразила, мова чисто українська, не очікувала такої краси. Чудово!!!!

  • If someone is irritated with a binding to a nationality, the it is better to be shot at once.

  • Proboha , kdo k týhle nádherný písničce naplácal tak nemožný titulky , Mila zpívá něco jinýho ,není to ani ukrajinský , ani anglický ...

  • @LeonMcGrath1 same thing

  • She is just so beautiful in so many ways, and her rendition of this song proves it.

  • Конечно, Мила красавица... Дай бог ей счастья!

  • @LeonMcGrath1 :) in know sherlock, i know :)!

  • she sings in chinese? :)

  • @miikael5 what planet do you live on ??????

  • @frht454 on the moon!

  • @frht454 fuck you

  • Technically she is a Serb born in Ukraine who speaks Russian...

  • @Ukirocker08

Her father is a serb, her mother is ukrainian/russian.

  • @Ukirocker08 her mother is a Russian actress Galina Loginova. Her father is a Serbian doctor. Milla herself was born in USSR (Ukraine, Kiev) So Mila is half Russian half Serbian. This song is awesome.

  • @IIIZEPHYROSIII that is fascinating. You need to understand only one thing - nobody likes russians. Just deal with it. You're a trash on the surface of this planet which to be disposed of.

  • As a fluent speaker of Ukrainian, her pronunciation f words is attrocious. It is not a russian song. Ukrainian is a completely separate language. Its like spanish vs. Italian. She should have worked on ukrainian rather than sing a ukrainian song on the fly not knowing the language and proper waysto say cerain words...

  • STALKER!!!!!!

  • I LOVE MILLA JOVOVICH !!

  • woow, its wierd to see resident evil, then hear this! its really nice :)

  • 1:01

    soo beautiful

  • Nice, but wish she used the correct pronunciation, some Russified pronunciations. Someone could have helped her with that before she put the track down. Good effort though.

  • @UkRocker08 shes ukraine not russian so some of the words are naturaly gonna be a bit different and a little off sounding due to the dialect and well slang terms used in different areas like if a born and raised cajun from lousiana travels to france he is gonna have a bit of a hard time with some of the words as cajun french and actual french will be different its all about the area you are from guess it kind of goes back to Location Location Location :)

  • ok,I don´t want to be rude but I have to say, I read this whole bloody useless discussion about she´s ukrainian, russian, serbian or anything else. I guess it don´t matters, cause this is a great song and she has a great voice. And she´s got many other talents, she´s gorgeous

    and by the way

Milla was born in Kiev, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union, the daughter of Bogdan Bogdanović Jovović, a Serbian pediatrician, and Galina Loginova , a Russian stage actress.

  • I wouldn't dare. Milla's song is perfect. Cpocebo very much ;P

  • Her voice seems the voice of an angel

  • uy si como si me fuera de reynosa tamaulipas llorara jajaja

  • to the 8 people who disliked this, I hope you shit birds burn in hell

  • @helperguyz nice sentence^^ totally agree with u!

  • @helperguyz Apparently three more people got bold enough to hit "dislike" since your last pronouncement of condemnation. So allow me to second that for those who have just arrived. Click "dislike" on this and you shall burn in hell. Thank you and have an ice day. =D

  • Oi stop fighting about where she is from and what she is. Her papa is Serbian her mama is Russian, she was born in Ukraine which at the time was still apart of the Soviet Union. Ukrainians and Russians and Serbians are all Slavic. Therefore she is Slavic. Perfect combination of cultures in my opinion. :)

  • @winnryautomail I like your post.

  • @winnryautomail my qeustion is when is she going to record some more albums especialy with slavic folk music

  • @winnryautomail Правду пишеш, словенски брате :) Привети от једнога Србина

  • can anyone tell me if this is Russian or Ukrainian language? I think both languages are spoken in Ukraine. Sorry, but I'm not either Russian or Ukrainian, but love Slavic languages! :-)

  • she's so damn beautiful.

    milla, i love you. :)

  • She is so beautiful

  • I never get tired of this song!

  • You know, Milla was born in Kiev by a Serbian father and a Russian mother, so her origins are not Ukrainian.

  • @tonymime

It's almost like, it is of Slavic culture.

  • @tonymime

your origins are where you are born, doesnt matter the parent.

  • Ahhhhhhh... so this song is Ukrainian? In the album booklet, I think it said Russian... But It's been a while since I lost it... :(

The entire Divine Comedy album was Folk Gold. With it, Milla solidified herself, in my mind at least, as not only a talented actress, but a talented singer/songwriter. I Absolutely ADORE this album. Bravo, Milla! <3

  • @Jadensamma

The song is 100% ukrainian it is sung in ukrainian with some I would say English accent (I speak both languages (English Ukrainian and Russian). Subtitles in some cases are wrong. But the song IS UKRAINIAN FOLK SONG. The end of discussion.

  • @DeeDee21498

    Whoah! o_o

No need to get snippy... It was an honest question. I was only trying to confirm it's origins...

  • @Jadensamma

Pardon! I didn't mean to. I've read the previous discussion and just wanted to give a clear answer. If it said "russian" in the album, then it was a mistake.

  • Браво Мила! Вот они корни! Молодец!

  • Such a cool song! Thx Milla!

  • she looks.. very unamerican in many of the pics here. very beautiful to the backdrop.

  • is ugly

  • MILA You're beautiful singing this song. Oh, you sing in UKRAINIAN LANGUAGE. I LOVE YOU !!!!!!!!!:-****

  • I didn't really know that the Resident Evil's Alice also sang. Nice!

  • beautiful song!

  • It does not matter where one is born. It only matters how one adapts to the world around them. Practicality, in the end, is what matters. That is the true reality. And, Milla is not a polar bear who was transported to Africa. In fact, she does not live in Africa!

  • @chukchee wtf? go & learn biology..

You even don't know that Slavs and Anglo-Saxons has different chromosomes. So she can't be american by nature where most lives Anglo-Saxons. Maybe her grandchildren will. So chill out, nature against you and that fact that she idetifies self as Ukrainian.

Man at 50 years old don't know things that children study at schooll, shame you.

  • My favorite song by her.

And she is my favorite...celebrity? That doesn't sum up the amount of talent she has.

  • I had no idea Milla was so talented! Wow.

  • Wow this is great! Davai Mila!

  • It dont matter where she was born. She is still amerikan.

  • No, your right, but she was born in Ukraine, therefore she is Ukrainian/American.

  • @chukchee

doesnt matter where she was born??

say, a polar bear is born on the ice.

it is captured and releaced in africa.

IT IS STILL A POLAR BEAR AND NOTTTT AND AFRICAN POLAR BEAR

same thing here... doesnt matter where you live or what language you speak, it matters who you are.

  • She is amerikan.

  • she was actually born in Ukraine she moved to America when she was 4 or 5

  • This is freaking beautiful. Absolutely amazing.

  • doraha milla ..

  • great song , graeatings from switzerland

  • I'm BIG FANS of MILLA....!!! Salut for her!

  • Wow, she's both beautiful, and an amazing singer. Her voice is so.. serene.

It's great she's aiming towards the Music Industry, too. (:

  • Comment removed

  • @BTVRF shutup

  • No she doesnt

  • WOw

  • Just for the Poster of the lovely song...

    "Danube" is "Donau" in German.

    Thanks very much. appreciate it.

  • sounds like Milla isn't too fond of the turks. damn i love her more and more. so gorgeous and talented

  • BEAUTIFUL...

  • this song is AMAZING!

  • Thanks for the lyrics; I have loved this song for years.

  • Heh, guess it's true you learn something new everyday, I had no idea Milla made an album, let alone that she had a singing career.

  • Something is really special about Ukrainian folk songs!

    Beautifully performed.

  • Congratulations to Milla Jovovich because she didn't forget her roots.

  • i like this

  • i think she can sing very well i think her singing voice is as beautyfull as she is

  • Amo esta canción y a Milla, tiene una gran voz!!! en México tiene muchos admiradores!!! ;)

  • HERMOSO

  • Давня-давня українська народна пісня. Дунай.

  • She is half Serbian and half Russian.

  • Thank you for posting this. It is just lovely.

  • Gracias por ponerlo en español.

  • My grandmother used to sing this song around the house when I was a kid.

It's a folk song from the Ukraine reminds me of being a little kid at my baba and gido's.

  • is milla jovovich ukranian?! i always thought shes serbian or croatian...

  • she was born in kiev, russia... which is now Kiev, Ukraine...

  • have you no elementary knowledge of geography and/or history?

    KIEV WAS ALWAYS UKRAINE

MILLA IS UKRAINIAN her dad was Serbian, but her mom was a Ukrainian actress, and she was the biggest influence in Millas life

  • There is really no need to insult my intelligence. I was only quoting what her bio says about her. "Jovovich was born on December 17, 1975, in Kiev, Russia, Soviet Union, (now Ukraine)." Pardon me for not knowing my geography...and thank you for insulting me, you should be proud. When I met her, I should have asked for a history lesson.

  • Beautifully said. Thanks.

  • was that really necessary? if you dislike it so much why did u even come on this video?

  • Technically the Ukrain was it's own ountry befor the Russian empire, which became the soviet union, and even then the Ukrain was considered its own "soviet republic" so technically kiev was in annexed Ukrain. i am not saying that ishchi was right, because milla is Serb/Russian but she was born in the Ukrain while it was a USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) political state, not intended to be an insult to your knowledge just adding to the argument.

  • her mom is ukranian...ukranians r not russians lol... where is russian in milla? even on tv they say she is russian lol ... dumbfounding

  • Her mother is Russian(Galina Loginova),her father is Serbian.

If she was born in Ukrane it doesnt make her Ukranian.

  • Thats right, she is Serbian-Russian but born in Ukraine and there is no reason not to be proud of her by all three nations :)

And she was born Milica Jovovič :)

  • @G6600 Jovović bre.

Ona nije srpkinja - ona ne zna srpski!

  • @kakisse79 Eh sad, znaš li koliko Srba ima da ne govore Srpski? Pola Čikaga i Frankfurta. Pa opet nisu zaboravili korene svojih roditelja.

Mila je Srpkinja. Narod ne možeš da promeniš, to se nasleđuje.

  • @xkgb lol, noob. Her mother was born in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine. Her mother is Ukrainian not russian. And together with the fact that Milla was also born in Ukraine it makes her Ukrainian. Learn the facts before posting non-sense

  • @Jimmy9Bazooka I'll say again, her mothers name is Галина Логинова and she is russian , her father is Serb. Being born in Ukraine doesnt change her nationality you idiot. Take that fact and shove it up your stupid ass .

  • @xkgb You really are a fucking retard. Just because you've written her name in cyrillic and said she's russian she becomes russian? Fucking read even your retarded russian wikipedia article on her. Even there it says she's Ukrainian. Want more proof? Watch the fucking russian interview with her where, russian themselves, call her Ukrainian. Because her mother is not fucking russian.

  • @Jimmy9Bazooka God damn it you must be really special . Quote from Russ wiki

" Галина Логинова, русская по национальности"

    Quote from Eng. wiki

"Galina Mikhaylovna Loginova a Russian stage actress", even last name "Loginova" is Russian .

    Now....fuck off.
