  • It's because you're probably eating lower carbs on your new diet, hence you've lost a lot of water weight. I lost 30 pounds in 30 days on the zone type diet which involved cutting carbs while eating a lot of veggies and fruits.

    I'm not a huge fan of raw eating (I guess like you a year ago) but I'm reading the Eat-Clean diet and trying to implement it as much as possible into my diet.

  • I read The Raw Food Detox Diet over vacation (in one sitting!) and I love it. I'm starting at level 4, but everything tastes so good! Especially those Oh So Simple Romaine Wraps. Gah.

    I live in the Great White North otherwise known as Canada, in Newfoundland, and I'd love to try this, but fresh f&v are SO HARD to find here after September the only locally grown produce is potatoes and squash LOL

  • As a raw foodist I can tell you there are ways to save eating Raw. Buy Organic Spinach, Carrots & Organic Frozen fruits in bulk for less @Costco. Regular grocery stores usually have some organic produce on sale & of-course once you find out about certain farms @ farmers markets you will be able to to save money. Liquids are the least of your worries Like Natalia says! Good for you for continuing on your Detox! Welcome to the world of RAW FOODS!! Raw foods is THE most natural way to eat.

  • I also read the Raw Detox Diet on your recommendation, and I have been 80-100% raw depending on the day for about 5 days. I felt really tired for the first 3 days, but I've been feeling so much better, and lighter overall. Thanks so much for this video!

Lots of great info for peeps here girlie..I watch a lot of raw peeps vids .rawfoodworld, kevin Gianni, bunny berry..theres tons if people are looking for good info. Best thing about raw is it cuts waay down on the amt of time U spend standing in front of a stove..or doing dishes..it's very "grab and go" Love it!! LOL I dont think I'll ever be more than 70% or so..but who knows :O)

  • vegans don't eat anything that comes from animals.. a lot of them don't wear clothes made from animals either. they'll wear organic materials n such. there's more into it i am sure, but that is what i know.

  • vegetarian's eat cheese and eggs for the most part.. dairy and things of that nature. vegans won't eat ANYTHING coming from animals.. eggs come from chickens, cheese and milk from cows etc. :0)

  • i had a dream that i opened my fridge and it was PACKED with fruits and veggies. and i was like whoa okay im gonna do the raw food diet. lol. i took a plum. now i really want a plum.

    btw. the boys werent thaaat annoying but one clip where u yelled and it edited to the next clip it looked like u killed greg and he was dead on the bed. lol.

    ps. "keep getting healthier" is a good catch phrase.

  • I was up quit a few pounds for a long weekend, it is all gone and then some in less than a week. You will do it to so I understand why you just don't care. There is no way you could eat enough to gain that much weight in one day.

    When I was doing the green juice from the book I gained because there are so darn many calories in the drink. I now just eat raw and leave the green juice for later, much later.

  • are your clothes fitting looser?? inches lost are so great too...hang in there, maybe it just going to come off all at once when you least expect it.

  • I subscribed a long time ago to this channel but stopped watching. I really like your show. I am not vegan or vegetarian but my fiance was vegetarian for 3 years and just started eating fish because the dr's told her to. But b4 her I didn't understand that sort of lifestyle. Now I understand and I give you so much in respect cause it gets expensive! Cant wait to see more videos. If you have a chance check on my Weight Watcher video. I'm down 58 lbs

  • Do you feel like the 'raw foods' book contradicts 'in defense of food' ? IDOF seems to say that all food groups are ok if you eat them wisely, RF seems to eliminate a lot of food groups. Also, how do you get your protien after you work out once you are a raw food vegan? Any plans to do the raw food diet on shanti reads? Wow, question overload! :-P

  • Sweetie, also go by how your cloths feel, and how you look phsically. I went down to 125 ( I looked gaunt ) very unhealthy, and I climbed back to 135-140 which my body seems to like. It really isn't about the scale, throw that notion away compleatly, or you'll go nuts. You look fantastic, and feel it too and that's what counts. :)

    Regarding cost, as a Canadian I would hazard that this diet would be more expensive in the winter.

    I have tried a lot of the dressing recipes from the book, and I really don't like them. Are you using recipes from the book? I've been using my regular hidden vally ranch, which I know I shouldn't, but otherwise I won't eat my salads... any thoughts?

  • schmumpkin....I suffered horrible stomach problems for 24 years....until i changed the way that i eat. I eat a raw diet...with the exception of turkey, chicken or fish and I have NO more stomach issues and do not have to take meds anymore.

  • ok i have a really tasty, blended drink for breakfast.... SOOOO GOOD. gives you energy and is just GOOD! hand full of spinach leaves, a fuji apple, 1/2 banana, a few strawberries, some ice.. blend and enjoy! i have this for breakfast. it's green and gross looking, but it's GOOD!

  • OMG!!! i've been doing raw this week.. but not as well as i should be.. but i do feel sooooooo much better. and my blood sugar levels have gone DOWN! i am now in the zone.. where i should be!! aaaaahhhhhhh!!!! sorry.. VERY excited about that. and YES i feel healthier than ever in my LIFE!!!! this is it people! this is what it's all about. i love food, always have, always will. and i want to focus on what i CAN eat, rather than what i CAN NOT.

  • You have been doing pushups, right? Thats a form of weight lifting, muscle building. You will get toned, burn fat and even look leaner, but you will also weigh more. Don't be discouraged. Stay with raw food and keep exercising. After a short plateau you will get back to the 150's and then 140's.

  • Hope your beach trip was good. I found some good YouTube raw peeps...kevingianni and rawradianthealth. They have recipes and tips. Been watching like crazy.

  • Green smoothies are great to get all your raw vegi's and fruit. Plus blending makes it easier on your digestive system. Also, put a bit of fat like coconut oil in the shake-it helps with blood sugar issues. As far as protein. hemp seed, great omega fatty acids. good luck to you girl!
