Wow! What a great looking and sounding car! I am completing restoration of my 70 RR 383 EK2 (Vitamin C), four speed, Air Grabber car. A few questions...
Is this a 383 car? Can you tell me how the motor is built? Stroker? Cam? Exhaust system? Mufflers? PM me is ok also.
@299YFT Thanks for the compliments. 383, .030+, isky cam cut to Mopar Purple shaft specs 509/292, ported heads, V-Force mufflers on stock manifolds. The mufflers are the saving grace.
@bh11214 " Go Mango" was a dodge only color, Plymouth called their orange "Vitamin C" even though it was a similar ( or possibly the same if I remember correctly) shade.
@hpjim Looks great jim, it's truly inspiring to see a classic muscle car in this condition. This is the first one I've seen with bumper guards as well, looks really good. I can't wait to have my 70 Roadrunner back in action!
Is that wood grain a mandatory option on the Rallye Dash/ "tic-toc" cars? My RR has that option but, she is missing the wood grain pieces in the interior.
WOW !! Brings a tear to my eyes. I remember riding in my cousin's 70 RR when I was 6 yrs. old. His was a spitting image of your beauty (except he had the "ralleye rims"). That car made me the musclecar enthusiast I am today. The 70 RR was the best year for the line and you have a true beauty. Best of Luck to you and her. May the asphalt be kind and may you cruise in peace !!!!
Beautiful Car.Nothing like the 68,69,and70 RR We have a video(RIDING IN A 69 RR) On You Tube.We have owned ours for 39 years.I bought a 70 once.Was a 440,456 gears,automatic,34,000 miles, then gas went to $.50 a gallon.You know the rest,I (should,ve could,ve) ,O well,once again BEAUTIFUL CAR.
sweet sounding idle! thanks for uploading this so we can all enjoy it!

I always love the part, when a Roadrunner stops behind the red light, revs the engine a bit and then releases the airgrabber.

Great looking car. IIRC, the color of the car was called "Go Mango" on the brochures. Good times.
