  • Born and spent most of my life in Fort Rucker in Dale County... Unfortunately, I had to move up north to the mitten, but God willing... I will make it home, again. Roll Tide, Roll...

  • I have been around the world 12yrs in the US Navy, and all over the US while driving tractor-trailer for 15yrs, but Alabama has always been my favorite place and also has the best looking girls in the world.

  • I have lived in many places, but fort payne will ALWAYS be home.

  • I hate country (even though my sn would make you think otherwise) especially that beer belly shit nowadays but songs like this are okay, and Mr Bojangles and all that.

  • Grew up in Huntsville area. Been away from good ol' Bama for 19 years serving in the military...almost time to come home.

  • Having moved on to Atlanta, the big city, this song gets me choked up. Spent my entire life in the great state (from Mobile) until last year. My home always has been, and always will be in Alabama. Blessed to be born and raised there. Beautiful mountains, sugar white beaches, rich history and culture, and southern hospitality.

And oh yeah, home of the 2009, 2010, and 2011 BCS National Champions (yes Auburn, you deserve credit). As a graduate of The University of Alabama, ROLL TIDE ROLL!!

  • Dothan, Alabama the place where I was born and raised. Great place and great God fearing people that still cling to their southern roots and say yes mam no mam yes sir and no sir. God Bless the State of Alabama

  • Good song but the "live" version is better than the studio version.

  • @hpscan Absolutely!! The live version is the BEST!

I thought if I moved, things would be better in Texas. Little did I realize what an impact Alabama had on me. And now I am going to be heading back. Life in a nutshell eh?? ; ) Thanks for the song share!!

She was born in Tuscaloosa and married a Yankee (**GASP!!**) from Pennsylvania who took her all over the world with the military, finally retiring in Nebraska in 1973. She never forgot her roots and flew her Alabama Crimson Tide flag on our house, and when she passed away in 2008, she was buried with that flag. I miss you, Nina Lee. You were the best mother I could've ever wished for
