great steel playing really enjoyed it . i done the same song on a harmonica you might want to check it out type in today i starded loving you again harmonica Stoney Barbee can't never tell we might cross paths one and get to play that song . your music friend Stoney.
Well done, it is music at it`s best and I´m just sitting here with my beer and the feet on the table.. just listening and grinning. Really - thumbs up!
Beautiful job on this tune..............it's always been one of my faves.I like your treatment of it. And that Sho-Bud guitar only has one thing wrong with it- it's your's and not mine! Again, great job.
You got me on this one too. Just love it. "Thanks" for sharing! I have had a fasination with Steel guitar sense I first saw one played live when I was about 8 years old in '49 and when we went home I remember taking an adjustable screen out of a window, the kind you could adjust to fit the opening, and emulating the guitar playing with it. I never learned to play but over the years I have rebuilt a few and sold them.
That reminds me of a funny story one time when I asked Bobbe Seymour what the difference was between one neck & 2 necks. He said, "One. What's the difference between one and two? One." Then, he laughed and explained the different tunings of the necks. It has often been said that the E9th neck is the one a steel player makes his/her living with. The C6th is for fun. Indeed, it is a fun neck to create some great sound on. When buying a steel, I highly recommend getting one with both necks.
Well, good can not describe the way you play....This is the second song I have heard and I will look for other songs by you. I'm sure that there isn't a bad one..Do you do slow gospel?
Great job Tony! My Uncle Joe, played Beautiful....Steel Guitar. We lost him a few years ago. He was one of my favorite Uncles. Check out the way my brother and sister did this song, as a band called 65 South. Hey, Joe use to play, Last Date all the time, I really miss hearin` that song. Could you maybe do that one for me?
HI TONY Any chance you would sell me the tab and backing disc for that song....also I am hoping to get the Sarno box at Dallas festival many thanks Ivor
HEY TONY ..nice sound...what are you using.?..amp...effects etc...very smooth playing and lovely rich sound...must be a valve amp HI.....hope i can get the same sound from my Rains and Pevey 1000
Great sound, none of the fancy runs that sound like hell and doesn't even sound like the song. I could listen to you all night. You are smooth..Keep it up.!
Tony : You are a man after my own heart; you are doing such a fantastic job on Hag's big hit. Brings back many memories of my playing years I loved these tear jerkers which were written for The steel. Send us many more of them..Thanks..Bernie
I'm just a listener - not a picker. This just went into my favorites bin, 'cause good pedal steel and Hag are right up there with air, food and water in my gotta haves...
