I do have to give props to Katy Perry, though, for riding an album for so long. With the internet it is hard to hit number one after two years of the album being available.

She couldn't stay silent anymore and simply responded eloquently to Cynthia McFadden because of of the overwhelming concerns of her fans in regard to the "Born This Way" fiasco. @Greicealix Hmm dunno how old you are (don't care), BUT since Madonna's second album, people in the news, MTV, VH1, talk-shows, have said she can't keep re-inventing herself- and here we are almost 30 years later and we notice the same old buzz about Madonna and how 'old' she and her music are, how can she keep doing it and be current, and relevant? I guess only time will tell with her new release. Hopefully amazing us, re-inventing her art and herself yet again.. can't wait!

Madonna never said Gaga copied her. She couldn't stay silent anymore and simply responded eloquently to Cynthia McFadden because of of the overwhelming concerns of her fans in regard to the "Born This Way" fiasco. Madonna, like Madonna always does, responded eloquently with a bit of humors and sarcasm... by describing the whole incidence as "reductive". She was by all means very polite and funny without launching any attack at Gaga.
