I really wish that these shows were in re-runs. If you look at the comedy aspect of the program, these shows were really funny! The best comedy I have ever seen.
In early 1958, having remarried after the death of his third wife, Tim Moore popped up in the headlines when he was arrested, jailed and convicted on a misdemeanor charge and fined $100 for firing a pistol during a domestic dispute over a beef roast that had disappeared from his refrigerator. Complaining that his wife's free-loading relatives had eaten the meat, he had lost his temper and gone upstairs for his gun.
Amos and Andy was one of if not the best show of all time in my opinion. I think the actors were some of the best ever. The NAACP needs to work to right a wrong that they did to these wonderful performers and get them the recognition they so richly deserve. By the way, I am white

thanks...funny..i remember not only watching this show at the age of around 8 or so, but also remember a kind of psychological texture of mind that I had as a young kid...this show almost makes me smell the TV's heat...young minds take this stuff in like cotton candy...totally...
First time I've ever seen this show and it's pretty fun and pretty funny!

Andy makes a retarded person seem brilliant. Pathetic...

I'd say Andy was smart enough to get his money and the last laugh!

I understand what you mean by the TV's heat. Nothing better than vacuum tubes.
