ive had both cars a 6.0 liter gto and srt8 charger and my charger was much faster after 60 and i was more comfortable in it to!!

bharsen Where do you get your 4300 lbs for a 300. Mine with between 3/4's and full comes in at 4162. A GTO might (?) be a little faster, but not by much. If you think a few ft. is a huge distance thats fine.

because they have a 4300lbs curb weight, my GTO with me in it at the track on the scales weighs in at just a tad over 3800lbs

it was an auto... you can tell by the long gears

also, I know it was pulling on me, but he was the one that let off... and it wasn't because of traffic or anything of the sort, he just let off

also, for clarification... my best 60ft. in my current setup was a 1.7 and I ran 12.7 @ 106MPH

with all the modifications into the 300 I would hope he would have a better top end

Lets see this same race from a roll. The SRT8 wouldve passed the GTO in this video if they didnt have to stop. SRT's are quick, but to dam heavy to dragrace. I here SRT8 guys says they beat all GTO's and GTO guys say the same. I havent ran one yet so i cant say.

and the SRT diddn't "have" to slow down.... it just got out of it

I dont think it for pansys, but thats funny. Roll racing shows more of what the car has oppose to the skill level of the driver in a dragrace. I personally feel like if i dont hit at least 150mph, then it wasnt really a race, but to each his own. IMO SRT8"s are better top end cars then low end drag racing cars unless there nicely modded. Good video though.

racing two cars should involve some kind of skill... which is why I spend time perfecting my launches, the GTO is a hard application to launch off the line

i have a completely stock 06 300C SRT8 and my brother has a CAI on his 05 GTO. We're both autos and from 25 to 100 I win. from 30 to 100 he wins. My powerband is better at 25 and his at 30 to 35.

Oh I do know that about the mags. I just dont think a GTO will spank a 300 SRT8. I think they would be a Very close race. All tha specs I've seen put the 300 with better times, but they are not far apart. Just like 1-2 tenths apart. I know that not only wieght and HP make a car fast it's gearing as well. That means your axles and your tranny. Also what RPMs the car starts making power and how high the revs are.

All the times from the mags put the 300 with better 0-60, and 1/4mi.  times then the GTO. Oh and all the mags say it Just under 4200lbs not 4300lbs.

you have to understand how biased magazines work and then go out and weigh/drag the cars for yourself... the 300 SRT8 might be a drivers race stock for stock I'll give it that but for you to say that their 0-60's are better in this particular video is kind of funny to me... espessially with only a magazine for logic

you are a bag of tools to say the least... the SRT8 weighs around 500lbs more than the GTO #1... that's more than enough to differentiate the small 25BHP difference

that and there is no driving involved... all of them come with aqn automatic gearbox

I will say again, you have no clue what you are talking about... at the time of this video I made 346RWHP on the drums, that equals out to about 420-430BHP through my transmission, not only was this an SRT8 but it was modded also
