the most important thing in my opinion is: dont make the "walkers" beeing frightened of u and dont frighten them... break earlier, pass them slowly, make yourself beeing seen early enough for example by clothes and by shouting out carfully "sorry!??!" from the distance...
and dont refer to ur rights everytime... be happy that u got them and make shure to keep them... so be nice! or they will change ur rights...
It's a similar situation here in Scotland. We are lucky that we can cycle anywhere within reason just like we can walk there too but we have to give way to cyclists and horse riders. It's just common sense anyway. I find that walkers usually step aside as I approach and I hardy see any walkers at the local places I have found. We should be curteous to other trail users for the good name of mountain biking.
older adults i give way to, but i never give way to the younger generation.. they have fun destroying dirt jumps and kickers that i have made to make my days out a little more fun...fucking wankers xD
I agree with the video. I don't mind yielding to everyone, even though we may have the same rights, i just find it an easy way to prevent conflicts or injuries.
I really dont understand why bikers need to yield to everybody, its not like we are doing something wrong by biking, we have just as much right to be on a trail as anyone else.
