  • Look how far inside he takes the club. That's about as unconventional as you can get; considering what we are told to do, which is taking the club back parallel on the back swing, Graeme's "inside" swing plane looks alot like Hogan. If it worked for Hogan and obviously for the 2010 US Open Champion, why not work for you?

  • @EagleEyeGolfer Be Yourself. Learn your tendencies, strengths and weakness's and build your game around thoes. Play your game. Learn to score get the most out of your game.

  • he is really nice guy. I was following his flight at the austrian open in 2010 and he was so relaxed talking with his caddy and even interacting with the crowd. after a drive a little boy shout good drive and he winked at him and give a the thumbs up. great guy

  • Its not called the "US PGA Championship," Its called the "PGA Championship." Its a major, there is only 1 PGA tour and its here in america. Snoody Euro's think they can call it that.

  • @Camden1101 Agreed but on the PGA Tour website, it says 'British Open Championship', it is 'The Open', the oldest major out of the four. Same rule applies!

  • Finally a video w/ a segment that is NOT in slow mo!!

  • he has a swing built for playing links golf and for playing a low shot

  • Ugly swing.

  • He needs to get back with callaway, even tho 80% of the clubs in his bag currently are Callaway products now...

  • Graeme McDowell is one of the nicest person on tour

  • :23 to :25 is all that matters in his golf swing!

  • he doesn't really like it i think...

  • nothing ugly about that just solid i think

  • That is one of the ugliest swings out there. But hey, he's on tour :P

  • Love how spine angle contracts on downswing.THATS ATHLETIC. His shoulder move looks like a pull (similar to Kuchar) but HELL NO that is not a pull.

  • Graeme McDowell good luck to you!!! I know you will reach your dreams ! May your next game this congressional will be an inspiration for us

  • that was off the toe

  • he is good coming into impact and good at impact, although you cant see it in this video. It works for him so it is a good swing.

  • Mock his swing all you want but he's the one earning the shitload of money.

  • its funny how I love Bubba watson and his free swing and his swing in general, but I hate McDowell and his bitchass swing (it sucks)

  • @danee6281 Fucking hater. Graeme won the U.S Open and took down Tiger in the same year. You're a bitch

  • @jbizzle231 omg he is just like so totally fucking good. He putted well for a solid 3 months ill give you that. and he played extremely well for that period of time. but that time is gone and he is strugglin bro

  • @danee6281 Hmm looks like hes back, just two weeks after you posted that his career was over. Dumbass

  • @jbizzle231 i didn't say his career was over, just his moment of consistently solid play. You realize everyone has a solid week right? ex. Todd Hamilton, Rich Beem, Shaun Micheel. Or how about more recent examples: Tiger was back for a week, Sergio was back for a week, and guess what... they're not playing well!!!! So to get to my actual point he's not back, he's having a solid week, (or 2 1/2 rounds to be more specific) we shall see how he plays beyond this week, then come say he's back

  • @danee6281 yup but unlike all those guys, mcdowell actually has a chance to win a huge event

  • @Tatwai5 Hey genius you realize every single one of those guys won a major championship right? Now I'm not saying McDowell will end up as bad as them, cause he's not that bad (except for the recent 80 and the 79 today). But he just isn't that good of a player and he is never gonna be that good again, except for the occasional 2 to 3 rounds

  • @danee6281 of course i know those guys won, i meant after winning majors. As for mcdowell, I think his style is being consistent, he's won steadily on the european tour, and if he plays more in the states, im sure he can do well.

  • @Tatwai5 Well sir you need to look up your definition of consistency. He hasn't posted a top 25 in the past 2 months. Now I'm not saying he needs to be first page of the leaderboard every week, but missing the cut 3 out of 5 times doesn't really scream consistency to me. Will he win again? yes, he will find a hot putter in the occasional weeks, but will he achieve consistency or anything close to it? the plain answer to that is NO.

  • @danee6281 i just mean that over his career he has been consistent. Also, loads of big tournaments coming up, year isnt over yet :)

  • @danee6281 You sir truly have no idea what you are saying...

  • @jbizzle231 i love these comments for 2 reasons. 1. You have made no argument or stated any type of fact that would give anybody, any type of reason to believe I have no idea what I'm saying or that your argument (whatever that is) is correct and mine is wrong. 2. You can suck it dumbass, cause I do believe I was right. His swing went to hell today, along with the rest of his game. That would be an 80 and a 79 all within a few weeks. BAM!!!!!!!

  • @danee6281 Well Greame is Out there winning the US open and you're the one criticizing his swing behind a computer screen

  • @GolfingWithComedy nobody said he can't score. His swing just sucks. Pretty solid putter. Just don't really like him. So fuck his bitchass US open win HAHA!!!

  • @danee6281 u really dont know what u are talking about

  • @GolfingWithComedy well lets look at his recent ballstriking. If i do recall correctly from what i've seen he has pulled every other iron shot he has hit. He has no idea where the ball is going

  • so shut at the top of his backswing

  • @warrior4ever1992 you are an idiot and have no idea what you are talking about. first off that club is not shut at the top at all he just does not set his wrists instead his wrist is flat, at all times his swing is on plane but hey you must be a major champion and a swing coach

  • @warrior4ever1992 yes, yes it is. And may just be the camera angle, but i think thats a pull there

  • @TomH001 he's not even close to coming outside... take a look at the shaft angle from his transition through impact.. it lines up closer to his right forearm and is very shallow.. if he was coming from the outside the shaft would come down steeper and move outside his target line. Not that it matters but just FYI

  • A competitor!

  • He is an inspiration to me.. His swing isn't the most pleasant to watch( compared to els, rory, woods..etc).. Its not the most athletic swing like a dustin johnson or woods.. or is the tallest or biggest..but damnit he wins.. Shit he beat tiger.. he won the open.. he beat hunter mahan! PROPS TO THIS MAN. I didn't even like him at first.. but he def has my respect

  • he has a two plane swing but his plane coming down is more outside so weird...

  • @TomH001 ONE PLANE SWING you are a moron P5 is the same as P3 which is a one plane swing and he is not coming from the outside at all, grame takes very shallow diviots if he was coming from outside his swing would be very steep which it is not. DONT COMMENT ON THINGS YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT YOU FOOL

  • He has the bowed left wrist at the top of his swing. Gives him added power, some incinsistency, a right to left ball flight, and a U.S. Open.

  • @Utuber1234100 ...good point. The bowing of the left wrist in the downswing turns your left arm/shaft into a bull whip

  • @asiangolfguy no he uses interlocking, use your eyes

  • I bet he prefers the bar to the practise range. A natural talent a la Darren Clarke.

  • g-mac

  • Beautiful video. Thank you for posting it.

  • I saw him at the austrian open and he was playing a interlock.

  • is his grip the double overlap grip?!?! its like jim furyks, and his finish looks like jim furyks!!!!
