  • Warner 2016!!!!!!!!!!

  • Warner must be a good man, but is really uninspiring. The speech lacked all what Obama's speech had in 2004 convention.

Also, can't they find anyone with 'IT factor'- like what Obama and Sarah palin have or what Clinton did.

  • OBAMA-BIDEN '08

  • "If you ran a company whose only strategy was to tear down the competition it wouldn't last very long, so why is this wisdom so hard to find in Washington? I know we're at the Democratic Convention but if an idea worked it really doesn't matter if it has a D or an R next to it" - Mark Warner is the first politician since Reagan that gets it! Mark Warner for President!!!!!

  • lol. funny, that I knew you would automatically assume i'm republican. Actually, I'm an independent and have no desire in supporting either candidate this election.

  • He is from a poor background, built a successful business and was a successful governor. He is bipartisan and actually has something of substance to say on important issues like education, health care and the economy. He is not as skilled a speaker as Obama, he does not have as big a name as H. Clinton, but he is much more accomplished than either of them. He should be running for president!

  • Agreed, as a Virginian I can tell you the difference he made here during his 4 years as governor has been amazing. Warner has successfully led and managed a government, Clinton and Obama have not.

  • global warming...stem cell research...evolution

Four more years of the last eight years is scarier.

  • so you have to believe in evolution instead of creationism to "believe in science"? whatever happened to freedom of religion. it seems the only rights democrats care about is abortion and gay marriage. bush has acknowledged that global warming exists also.

  • Who said anything about denying freedom of religion? Who said anything about abortion or gay rights? The point is Bush has questioned scientific findings throughout his administration, whether it's his own personal conviction or to pacify his base.

  • WOW! An American politician that actually has some policy substance in his speech.

  • You're easily amused aren't you? He's parroting Democratic talking points at best.

  • I thought it was an excellent speech, and well delivered. I was going to go to bed, but couldn't stop watching this. The guy has passion, and most importantly, he oozes competence. If the Democratic party - and government in general - had more people like him, the future would be bright indeed. I hope we're on our way to that future...

  • Weak speech and delivery Gov. Mark Warner,

Gov. Schweitzer and Sen. Hillary saved the night.
