@lilwayne4408 lmao this is a netbook........ first of all it doesnt even have a cd ROM it is impossible to run mw3 with 1 gig of ram and a shitty intel atom proccesor, netbooks are for non-heavy programs, social websites, youtube, and for a bit of work like microsoft word. get a gaming laptop, you can get a cheaper one for about 800$ CND but u wont regret it......

Brilliant little Netbook :) Was great through my 3 yr college and im still using it today. Great for watching vids, music, emailing, surfing, office use ect.

People who complain about this being slow expect too much from such a small laptop, its not a gaming machine or a download bucket :P

Great little netbook, mainly use it for surfing in bed nowadays, but still, recommended :)

@bigdl72 Typically, netbooks are low-cost, small (8" to 10" screens), use a low-power Atom processor, lack an optical drive, come with Windows 7 Starter, and are generally geared toward Web-based tasks. The lines blur though, because there are "netbooks" that have 12" screens, optical drives, etc. For the most part though, the hardware of a netbook is geared toward Internet-based tasks.

After over 3 hours they were unable to resolve the matter and told me that there was nothing further that they could do. I filed a claim for a refund on the technical support and was (VERY RUDELY I MIGHT ADD by "Orville badge #GWSS116") denied. I'm really not sure which is worse, the customer support or the product. After my experiences not only would I not recommend purchase, I would strongly advise against it. I hope this review helps someone before they make the same mistakes that I did.

@sosr123 You'll have to check and see if there's a spot for the hard drive; I'm not sure if the flash-based model (which is what you have) is identical to the hard drive model. You need to find a techie friend to help. :-)

There are different models of the acer aspior one. the model you have dose not have the built in hard drive,but you can purchase a external hard drive and hook it up through the usb drive (you have three to choose from).

@levygonz The Canon HF100 can take stills, but it does a pretty awful job - video cameras aren't great for taking still photos. Remember 1080p video is only 2 megapixels, so the sensors in consumer video cameras are quite crude in comparison to digital camera sensors. The HF100 is an older model; I don't know what the current versions sells for.

@levygonz The Canon FS31 is a standard definition camera, not an HD camera, so I doubt you want that. Look at the VIXIA HF R10 - that's Canon's cheapest HD camera I think.

Acer computers are outdated and their support is a joke, I have been waiting on my laptop to come back from repair for almost 3 months now and its broken from the last time I sent it back, they sent it back and obviously dropped it in the shop because it came back fully unfunctional (was origionally a faulty graphics card problem) and with a huge crack.

i received an acer that (as far as i could tell) the screen doesn't work. when i turn it on, the green light on the pwr switch comes on, and the other indicator lights (such as bat, caps, num and HD,) all flash during POST. i hear this faint hum (not sure if its the hdd or fan) but i dont hear any mem failure beeps or any thing. there's no other activity on the hd indicator ether. i opened up a small panel on the back and found it was empty. does any one have any idea what might be the problem?

I have a newer model Acer Aspire One, somewhat like the one in your video. I do a lot of external recording and am having trouble getting the recording mic volume loud enough. Is there some setting I can change to increase mic volume (I do not want to use the built in mic next to the webcam).

Actually there is a portion of the harddrive that holds the original restore configuations (rather than having the Restore Disk) that is not accessible to you on the C Drive (therefore of the 120 gig harddrive, you have about 105 available to you to use). Simply activate the Acer Restore program and it will restore the drive to its original state as if you opened the bo for the first time.

Yes, the power converter should be good from 100V to 240V. You'll want to double check that by reading the label though. Then all you need is the physical prong adapter...

99% of the time, they either go back to the PR company within 30 days, or I return it to the store I bought it from for a refund. The other 1% of the time, I'll get the laptop on extended loan (meaning, months) or it's a laptop I like so much I'll keep...but it's not like I own 12 laptops if that's what you're asking. ;-)
