  • @jingang WHY IS THIS SIFU THE BEST?! I do quite wish to learn from him someday so that I can add his teachings to my JKD.

  • 0:36 mmmmmm SWAG.

  • this would mix well with anything.... what an amazing teacher

  • I am a Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Brown Belt. I don't see myself losing to Bajiquan. I take you down and its over.

  • @BadAssBlackOverlord if you can... and threatening people like you shouldnt be posting comments... its not nice... go train some more

  • what i would give to train with this guy =)

  • @ Jingang Your right Sorry it's been awhile since I heard the story. Please forgive me on that subject. But Li Shu Wen learned Baji from mong village and then Pi Gua from luo village and combined the two. But Li shu Wen fought many opponents from all over China and also at times from other country's even some of the greatest martial artists from China who had great reputations for their strength and skill were killed within 1-2 attacks from Li Shu Wen. Yuo can probly look him up on google.

  • @Jesusffreak777 ... I'm guessing you've read the manga kenji.

  • @jung567 There are many bajiquan out there the one I am studying is bajimen the one that Li Shu Wen used. Li Shu Wen was undefeated his whole life. And was the founder of Bajiquan all the other "bajiquan" out there came from this the first.

  • @Jesusffreak777 Not true. Wu style baji came from a different lineage than Li shuwen's. Li was not a founder of anything, he was a practitioner of Baji, that's all.

I know many people who are undefeated..........when you never fight you are undefeated. All the rest were defeated one time or another (they had to be beginners before becoming masters). I was never defeated after the last time someone defeated me.......

  • Great video.

  • this isn't bajiquan

  • @lolnewbielol

Sure it is, In Wu xiufeng's lineage this is the advanced form of Bajiquan.

  • @jingang

i am sorry i just read something about banjiquan that you have many different styles the one i am practicing is about power that you need to do the techniques over and over again so that you can become verry good and mine doesn't have much techniques either but thats because i am still practicing the basics

  • Every style started with just a few hands. Baji had 6 big openings and 8 big applications. Later on the xiao baji form and da baji form were added. Skilled people of an art want to transmit their experience too so the sometimes create advance forms that contain useful applications (or combination) they found out, this way the art becomes rןcher with knowledge. Sometimes beginners tend to think they know everything and criticize and teach experienced martial artists.

  • When you'll master the basics (shape and intent) you'll want to go deeper and have to break through the basic structure and rearrange it all in free style and for that you'll need the extra advanced forms. If you decide to stay in the basics you'll be restricted by form and shape and not be able to use it in combat where the opponents reactions are unexpected and out of structure.

    patience

  • @jingang

ok thnx for the information but i am currently learning bajiquan my self i have no master and where i live nobody knows something about bajiquan and that makes me sad but i am quite good with the basics xD

  • wat makes bajiquan so special? sorry im a korean kendoka who has no experience in any chinese martial art. forgive my ignorance.

  • it makes a lot of body contacts

  • bajiquan is a special old chinese kung fu that has been taught in the military and such

  • @jung567

No fear in closing distance, Use of the body (ribs, pelvis, shoulder) as a weapon to bump with the opponent and the extensive use of elbows.

  • @jingang that sounds just as effective as jui jitsu when it comes to self defense. =)

  • This is a great video with great teaching. I love bajiquan my teacher teaches us some bajiquan forms and applications and they really help get out the power; I also love the elbow strikes and takedowns that the style is known for.

  • xie xie

  • I really like this style. Much trickery and alot of counter attacks. When I get to Japan(Yes I know Bajiquan is Chinese Martial arts) I would like to learn this. Heard it's very popular there. If only they had an instructor in reno.

  • In Japan its called Hakkyoku Ken

  • Pretty cool.

    Good shit.

  • the one say muay thai , bajiquan beat it ez

  • Nitrogen Bomb is even better.

  • XD true

  • So, what's your point?

  • Wing Chun is too complicating. This is so much more simplified. It's rare to see this art, I think can mix well easily with other arts like boxing even. This is a good master.

  • @Ming1975 What do you mean WC is too complicated? I'd like to better understand your intention behind that claim.

  • @Ming1975 im a practitioner of wing chun and i can tell you that it is not complicated at all in any sense, i think it is the most uncomplicated style, it stresses on sensitivity and simplicity. i would like to know why you say it is complicated?

@Jigang I've been interested in bajiquan since i was 10 years old but has never been able to find a sifu to teach me which is really sad. you are lucky to have such sifu im jealous.

  • @Ming1975 Wing Chun is not complex at all.

  • he has excellent teaching... he definitely unders applications to the moves

  • nice speed...and also very clean technique (as far as I can see, 'cause I doesn't do Bajiquan...(man, this seems to be so much more interessting than WT, why can't there be some Baji-people in europe instead of all these many WT-houses...)

  • What's WT?

  • wing chun / ving tsun etc.

  • I am simply awe stricken at the grace and power of baji quan. Simply a marvel to watch. Its katas relate directly to its applications. Its defense and counters are so practical yet efficient...

  • hey you guys are welcome to drop by anytime. i'm still here on April as I have so much to learn and practice if I ever want to be deserved to be called a Baji man :P right now i've settled for the title: "Baji Bunny" :D

  • this is just great stuff !! are you still in Tianjin in April ? maybe we can meet up... we will be heading to Mengcun.

  • After 7 years in China I'm about to leave. My gongfu brother who does Baji (the one in the video) will be here though. He welcomes you to come to Tianjin and even to one or two practice session (Mr.Zhou whould be happy to meet other Baji enthusiastics).

Ringus- we always practice outside (snow and heat...)

  • I have and he is Doing Xingyi and Bagua (or at least tring to...)

  • great teacher!
