@NightwingRG Michael Bolton's version of this song is during the credits, and it sounds a lot more like Michael Bolton. This version is sung by Roger Bart.
@Leonkennedy098 What bands are you thinking of? Most rock bands didn't sing about that stuff. Maybe once in a while there was some glam rock band that no one took seriously who did
Man, the only thing I don't like about the new disney movies is that there aren't any more original and memorable songs like hakuna matata or go the distance. Y U NO MAKE NEW SONGS, DISNEY????? Other than that, I love the new movies ^_^ Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Wall-E and all that!
@YouCantTalk growing up - i don't mind. the music people listen to nowadays, in the car, on the radio, everywhere - that's not what i would consider real music. music today is all about drugs and alcohol, partying in the club til 3 in the morning and having sex with someone you don't even the name of... personally, i think music both has to sound good and also read good. lyrics nowadays read as if theyre coming out of a pimp's mouth, just saying.
@YouCantTalk screw social lives man. Why can't disney make more films like the old ones. IMHO those were the best of the best. Bout to go the college soon and i still watch these :<
@YouCantTalk well i am a teenager in college with a social life but we like to watch old disney classics just for the hell of it ^^ we don't wanna grow up just yet either
@RandomAnomymous I agree excpet people need to give Tangled and Princess and the Frog a chance. Those 2 movies give me hope that disney will make good movies again.
@RandomAnomymous Absolutely true. Kids don't need that teen drama crap, they need this; the old, the brilliant, the REAL Disney, not that crap made solely for the purpose of marketing.
I know what you mean. The new Disney is solely marketing with no values, where as the old Disney was based off a value system and made money because it was good not because it is a bunch of people who are "famous".
Reading the top comments, memories of childhood popped up, and I did cry. I will always cherish those carefree, beautiful times. I'm turning 18 soon, and before long I'll be on my own, finding where I belong. I depart my childhood, but I will never forget this song.
I seriously get chills every time I hear the horns at the beginning of this song. Firstly, it was my childhood, and secondly, I love history and although it's by no means historically accurate, it is still my favorite time period in human history.
This song means so much to me though it's disney and this is a cartoon movie the message is so deep in our lives as a young adult looking back on my teenage life i know that i was searching for where i belong and still am That is what is so amazing about Disney movies it's always a hidden message in each one
hercules is the filmthat when you see it every 5 years on a dusty shelf, you have no choice but to watch, What a film! the film that changed my life and many others, as well as many to come
doesn't anyone else just feel lifted up strong and PROUD when they hear this song? like as if you suddenly have energy and wanna be strong for someone...
@Wolfdrugs u kno, i always wanted to do wrestling, but i was scared. then i saw hercules in 6th, and i tried out and made. i stuck with it now, 11th grade and ive been to state twice i plan to win it this yr!
@theJRLMchannel GOOD FOR YOU!! :D I love hearing success stories!!
I hope you go all the way this year! :)
All the best to you and your endeauvers, take care, and bring fame back! Fame, that never overcomes happiness, humbleness, and the important things in life :)
Describes how I felt when I was young and was in primary school: unlucky, alone, insecure. Until that day when I moved to another city where the people were much nicer and finally there were people that recognized who I was. I felt happy again. That was the place (and still is) where I belong and the place I dreamt about where a warm welcome was waiting for me.
I remember cheering on Simba when he fought Scar. I remember booing at Ursela, when she took Ariels voice. I remember fighting the Huns side by side with Mulan. I remember the wind through my hair, running by Pocahontas. I remember being locked in the Beast's castle. I remember laughing and having fun with Mickey and his friends. I don't remember watching Teen Drama on stupid Disney Channel. Copy and paste this to all you favorite Disney Videos, and lets start a revolution
Honestly, this song reminds me of everything I used to cherish as a child, I don't care if any of you thumb me up, but I know there's some of you out there who feel the same about this song, it makes me cry every time I listen to it. <3
@LimitedANlME This movie IS my past. Its everything that makes me. Infact, ALL of the disney movies are. I wouldnt be the same person with out them. They were my world. I acted out each movie as a kid. And played them over and over and over.
i was 5 years old when this came out in theaters, this song feels like it fits me so well now and i couldnt even grasp the full significance when i was that age but i still knew this song would mean something to me someday
@96integraohyes i think thats true for all 90's kids, when we were young we loved Disney, i know i never really understood how amazing it was and why, but i knew that it was something amazing and beautiful, and now that i am older, i look back and really understand just how great Disney is
@beebudly thats true, but i feel like its too late, its been 16years already, and ive been Megan, i would feel like i was abondoning/betraying my parents and myself, you know? but i could try it at college : )

Meg "wont say shes in love" but Hercules isnt afraid to "go the distance." However, Hercules is still a child on the inside and so Mulan teaches him how to "be a man." Tarzan spies on Hercules from his jungle and thinks that Hercules is from "two worlds" because of his strength and realizes that he is also "a stranger like me." Hercules eventually meets Sora from Kingdom Hearts and defeats Hades with him and goes from "Zero to Hero".
@DepartedArrival I'm sorry, but was this suppose to be terribly deep or something? I'm not really trying to be mean, I just don't understand why you even posted something like this.
I want to go the distance, with my relationship with my friend with benfits guy... but i know, he doesn't want be to be his gf. I understand, but still hurts. We are freshman in College, WSU! Idk, i just haven't seen anyone but him here.... Am I kidding myself?
@Jen8Rita Whatever is meant to happen will happen. You're in college for an education, and that is your number one priority. If this man is meant to be your man, there will be a time and place for that. But usually, life just keeps moving and those moments you once spent so much time stressing over are barely a memory in the future. When you do find yourself developing a real bond, make sure it's with somebody who will let you be yourself, and never hold you back from "going the distance."
You know, it's kind of incredible how well Disney manages to release one truly great movie every six or seven years, but it is even more amazing how every. Single. One. of their cartoons has at least one REALLY memorable song.

guys i dont think Disney will get this epic again but we can always work together and give a new generation of dreams and hope via our own creations and one day we will go the distance
a few years ago two parents went out to dinner.a few hours later, the babysitter was calling to see if she could cover up the clown statue in the kid's room, the father said"Get the kids out of the house,we'll call the police we don't have a clown statue"."the clown statue" was actually a killer that escaped from jail.if you don't post this on 10 videos tonight the clown will be in your bed at 3:00 am with a chainsaw in his hand. sorry don't want this to happen to me
Ever since I've heard this song in theaters, I've been in love with this song so much that I know the lyrics from heart and sing the song if if I'm in a good mood :P
@coffeebeancatvideos your uncle sings the movie version? he does herucles singing voice? wow. normally i would'nt belive that..but just in case if your telling the truth...tell him he a good voice!

a few years ago two parents went out to dinner.a few hours later, the babysitter was calling to see if she could cover up the clown statue in the kid's room, the father said"Get the kids out of the house,we'll call the police we don't have a clown statue"."the clown statue" was actually a killer that escaped from jail.if you don't post this on 10 videos tonight the clown will be in your bed at 3:00 am with a chainsaw in his hand. sorry don't want this to happen to me
