Sounds like our Portie, Apollo. He is also crazy and has lots of energy. You have to a dedicated dog owner to own one. Apollo LOVES perching on the couch as well.

It takes a lot of mental energy to raise a PWD. They are at least 2 steps ahead of you in terms of what they are thinking. They can be really manipulative and mischievous. But once you have a relationship with one, once you put the work into it, he will repay it thousandfold. They are good family dogs, but generally very devoted to one person. They also take about 2 years to fully mature, so will take longer to settle down than most other breeds. They are beautiful and loving.
Just like my dog!! I still have no idea what the heck my dog is. The owner said that they think she's a Maltipoo mix, but she does not look like that at all (nor does she act like that) and looks more like a black-furred mutt. I'll have to post a picture.
She does have the Portie attitude and is very vocal when she is asked to do something. She'll only really do tricks if I have a treat in my hand or if she's getting a LOT of attention from it.

I have a new puppy and she is the same as ur dog. crazy,full of energry and has to be around you all the time. shes cute and one thing thats different is that she hates the water! ur dog is really cute!
Great video of Tilly! We have 2 of them (Lily & Brooke) and they love to perch on our couch, too!!! Lily likes to actually swim in water while Brooke enjoys the baby pool tremendously!

Have you seen a Porti-Wheat ? A designer dog; Portugese water dog/ soft coated wheaten mix. A great combo!
