For some reason, this reminds me of that old G4 show Cinematech, where they showed a bunch of random clips from random video games.

I remember seeing the Sonic CD intro cutscene on that show and being blown away by the music.

When I got this game and saw it in the extras menu, I'd listen to it over and over again. Good times, those were.

This sound track actually makes me feel quite sad to be honest. I'm a classic sonic lover, and on the extras page with all the old art and first comic. Such nostalgia. Everytime I think about this track, I always think about all those wonderful Archie front covers of Sonic's adventures(and the others). And when I think about the comics, I tend to think of my childhood of reading some of the better issues of the series(which are the earlier ones)! The Knuckles series for some reason was my favorite!

after long years of all those damn games for wii,xbox360,ps3 and you have it hard...then one day you find mega collection...sonic mega collection(the only game as a kid you played more then any other game from the 64 to gamecube,xbox,ps2) on a shelf dusted and untouched for so long and when you play it...on the original console instead of your new one's the first thing that happens is going into extra's then after a few hours you'll be in tears. :"<

One of the first songs I experienced where I would literally sit staring at the TV, listening to the music play, getting lost in its sound. I absolutely adore this song, and it still gives off the odd feeling of heartbreak I felt when viewing the intensely-drawn Archie comic covers when I listen to it now. <3

You know, you all have these beautiful thought on what you think this song is supposed to be about. What I think it's really about, is the fact that the last few Sonic games have SUCKED, and this is the song that symbolizes a question of if there will ever be a GOOD Sonic game again. And I don't mean 'passable' good, I mean really good, like the originals.

Thank you for uploading this music video again, Renegade466isBack. In honor of the first uploading , I will put in a simliar comment to what I had written before: Several years ago, whenever I visited my cousins' house, I would play Sonic Mega Collection on their GameCube for the while. Circa 2006, I bought Sonic Mega Collection Plus for the PlayStation 2 in order to have the compliation for myself (it was nice to see, and finally beat, the Sonic games I played back when I had my Sega Genesis).

The "Extra Menus" music was one of my favorite aspects about the collection. After hearing it for the first time, I fondly thought of it for a long while. It had a wonderful sound to it.
